There are many methods used for trading, some people use standard indicators, some use "proprietary" indicators, some use no indicators at all. Some use candles, some line charts, and some P&F charts. Thats an extremely sensible thing to do. However, the problem is that someone who hasnt already walked the path does not actually know what others need.

Unless the mentor is actually using that information, they are just regurgitating complete nonsese in 99.9999% of cases. They are passing on exactly the same information that was of no benefit to them in the first place.

You wouldnt learn to play the piano from some guy who'd only read about playing the piano in a book, would you ? If you repeatedly asked the guy to play a piece to demonstrate, and he refused to play, would you still have faith ?, or would you look for someone who could actually play ?

Meh.....I read his thread and nobody can question that he does in fact trade a lot and has contributed ideas worth reading. The question is whether he is as successful at it as he says he is. There is ZERO, ZIP, ZILCH, NADA, NIET, NO evidence that he is. The fact he never posts live trades and runs a pay website only re-enforces the skepticism.

There are a few other little things that kind of make my spidey senses twitch a bit. Such as the fact he seems to have that gambler mentality (not good IMHO). Likes to trade mini-dow (again...wtf). Just seems a bit too much into the adrenaline rush of it which is not a good psychological state to be in trading forex IMHO.

His stuff is not the be end etc etc,

But he offers services to teach, and he's damn good at it, therefore he's not a scammer,


end of story.

if you guys are simply arguing cause you don't know if he personally trades or not, go for it,

all I'm saying is I learnt from him, and he's a good teacher, but by no means is he the only way to trade,

I personally know others who trade with no charts and win, and they can't teach me, they clean up,
but I just cannot do it like them, and there useless teachers.

U know the bottom line is this, James and his helpers like mike etc, are very good teachers, you can go see this for yourself on the free thread.

Now everyone knows that James doesn't post live trades, or statements, it's well known, and he doesn't hide that.

Now it's upto everyone what they do with this info, we can debate on the particulars of what a scam means etc etc, it's useless and futile.

Facts are, James teaches tested and tried s/r that's been around for years.

Fact is James doesn't post statements proving he does it himself.

Fact is James helps alot of people who pay him, and lots of people who don't pay him.

Fact is, no matter what analogies you give, know matter how stupid it may sound, even if he doesn't trade, or has never traded, he can teach well.

If you dont' feel comfortable learning from someone who hasn't posted th ere statement, then don't learn from James, go read a book or learn from someone who does.

You can still make the arguement, how do we know James is a good teacher, how do we know any of his students actually win, if my words or other students words doesn't convince you he teaches well, then goto the free thread and ask away, and make the judgement for yourself.

I don't understand how there is anything left to debate, it's stated, you have warned the newbs about James not post statements, you've voiced your opinion on why you woulnd't learn piano from a instructor who has never played in front of you, it's all groovy points, now everyone knows all the points, noone here is gonna switch sides, everyone believes what they believe and thats that.

I was in the event business, I have sold all sorts of trading programs that cost more and teaches much less. The information is freely available on the internet, all you need to do is to open a brokerage account without funding a single cent. The response is normally, "I need someone to guide me."

Are the Gurus in questions really great traders? Seriously I'll never know, they came with statements, live trading etc. Yet 99%~100% of the classes I have participated in failed (lost money) in trading and doing something else now. And you do not know what you are going to get before hand.

Here's why James16 can trade or cannot trade or if he is as rich as he says he is does not matter in this instance:

According to Mr. Smith, there is a FREE thread on this which one can become profitable on. So based on that, it simply means that you do not need to pay a single cent to James16. So what's the problem if he is valid or not, there IS a choice you do not have to pay.

If testing it out the free thread, you become profitable, isn't it great?

If not, and you decided to pay for it, you should be asking, why do you pay for something that doesn't work. And not be asking if the teacher is credible, no?

Really do not understand the commotion over a single FREE thread, which you might consider as advertising. People need to use common sense and take responsibilities for your own choices.

another point..james did a b4 and after series on trades..and he was spot on..not that it mattered..

It generally implies the trader has a limited account size, and successful traders dont tend to trade small accounts.

I dont necessarily agree thats true in all cases, but its a reasonable generalisation, and when considered in the light of all other evidence, its a red flag.

$1000 is a very very huge amount of money to J16!!! this is his very very large trading account.

i can imagine his wife was very very upset with the loss.
