There are 2 potential trades - we need to trade in the direction of the trend and ensure all conditions are met. We may have tradeable opportunities should price retrace to the 100 SMA and bounce. I will avoid trading during any news release(s).

Potential Euro short trade

Took the USDCHF short @ 1.0210, even though MACD yet to go under zero, as my other filters support a short trade

Another nice simple one in the CHFJPY - crossing both the 100 SMA & 200 SMA

Trade is progressing nicely

I wish msniper would return to further give guidance and posting, thou he is seen "inactivity" since Oct 2007 (stated in his profile).

FYI I am very keen in H4 & Daily trading methods.

A simple yet good good trading method.

Can't agree more with you but realize Marketsnipers has not been around since October 2007. I hope he returns as I tried sending him a PM but no response yet. Let us demo test the system - it's very simple, and compare notes and if successful, we can create a community of traders that believe in simplicity and make this thread active again. Otherwise, if this is something that can be merged with your thread, then fine as I believe we can add the 200 SMA and trade this method both on the H4 & Daily charts.

Missed it as I went back to bed - live on the other side of the world

USDCHF currently at 1.0177 & CHFJPY gave over 40 pips (making TP1) before reversing.

Good simple system - just need to follow the rules - no emotion!!!

Just set up a couple of charts, including the eur/chf, i missed this short also.

I can see that there is potential to have some enormous winners by trailing stops along the 100ma. will certainly be trying this out in the the coming weeks.

Look forward to learning from you guys and sharing ideas.

i'm a newbie trader and there's one question always bugging me, when you set the 100 sma, how do you know it will bounce back to the trend and go for reentry? i always fear it will break out and eventually lose the trade can someone explain how you can be sure it will bounce back and not breakout?

As I understand it, you don't know. That's why the OP states that he waits for the next candle to close above the 100 sma (if in a long situation). When it does, you enter the trade. It will either keep going up or whip back, cross downwards the 100 sma and start going down. If the latter, take your loss and open a short. That's how I understand it, but could be mistaken.

I like MACD and has "played" it a while on H4/D preferred, with MA and B Band, after reading this thread and others in FF.

A short is made on GBP/AUD after observing PA, where in several past candlesticks, PB and bearish engulfing shown under 50 MA and MACD below 0.

Works well with the euro & i used it today with e/j. Look at the overall trend. Go to a small time frame like the 15 min. For a short wait until the macd goes above 0 and then when it crosses back below 0 you short it. Usually the macd will go hand in hand with the MA. Worked for 50 pips today.

Problem with these kind of setups can be determining whether the support/resistance of the MA will actually hold on that particular occasion...
