If you were directing that post at me, I believe you missed the points I attempted to carefully articulate. There is no ill intent or animosity, I congratulated James multiple times on the success of his mentoring business (and alluded to doing several things the same if in his position).

My concern simply dealt with odd inconsistencies & irregularities in his story presented here in this thread (misrepresenting the mentoring business as a hobby, understating the importance/profitability of the mentoring business, overplaying the sympathy card, etc). Just piqued my curiosity, that's all.

Trust me when I said I had reservations joining this discussion. I've been around awhile and tend to pick up on signs others might not think twice about. Threads such as this have piqued my curiosity more than once before, though I've beared witness to the Wrath of the Followers, one must tread carefully. At least in light of recent revelations (you all know who I'm referring to), it appears we can speak a bit more liberally about such topics. There was a time not long ago when the mods essentially equated doubt with libelous defamation, I'm hoping we never go back there.. (apparently a minority opinion amongst many a senior FF member)

Example of how I use James material.

retrace of weekly pin, then we form small 2 hr pin, then retrace that 2hr pin, entry for tiny risk and possible huge move.

Entry 106.06 stop 105.75 Target open as this has a potential for a huge run.

I'll likely being going to b/e very soon as we are against a crazy trend here.

I think there is no need to go to technical details here. Just tell people if you are now consistently profitable by learning J16 free material or not.

I'm giving example of how simple i've learnt to trade, there is no need for all the insanity on this thread, me posting examples may show any newcomers that might be put off to try j16 stuff after reading the trash here, that hedoes teach very sound and free material.

Ok thanks for that info. But does that mean he is an unprofitable trader? I just took your initial post as to PeterFM giving up trading altogether because he couldn't turn a profit.

Here's the catch 22 of the net when it comes to financial matters interlinking with the anonymity it provides, displayed fruitfully repetitively throughout this whole forum.

It's a combo of some clutch points:

 

1. Before people can cry 'SCAM', by definition, someone or a group have to be scammed and often prove it
   
2. 'Reputation', as assumed by the collective as it is in real life, merely comes down to presentation when on the net. Tons of small factors contribute to forming a net rep. In reality, any net rep is BS, and personally I love to steer clear of such individuals who seem to create and feed off their reputation, whether it be from proposed results in their thread, number of followers, quality and detail of advice given, ultimately none of it makes YOU richer or better at trading, because only YOU can do that.
   
3. Yet the greed factor is ever present, common knowledge. People will always fall for the trap of the net rep, even though the objective stats are against them, i.e. odds are low that there is actual truth in anything they read on the net.
   
4. So, as far as general scammers go, there'll always be supply for this demand (greed). Now...the only way a SCAM gets caught is.... yep, point one. This is why the most elaborate scams are well thought-out, pre-empting many concerns of their customers. The best way is to get them in a comfort zone from which time itself will heal any doubts of the leader. This maximises his gains when he comes to cash in from his 'hard' work.
   
5. Obviously, cashing in exposes him, but he gets away with it, because duh..
   
6. Now imagine this whole process, without the end requirement of 'cashing in'. This would see jacko still in business, with his large following defending his failed calls. Is the best way to not cash in from the customers on a recurring basis? Giving the potential to multiply small profits.
   
7. Last point, now imagine if the whole service was actually genuine in the fact it wasn't a scam at all, but was just as useful as the customer him/herslef can make it. Ensuring the actual gain from the product sold is totally dependent upon the individual, this would actually allow the leader's reputation to be untarnished, allowing a constant cycle of customers buying into the solidified 'net rep', putting failure of the service down to not being able to use the products available due to lack of skill or whatever. Couple this with other sources actually set up to develop the customers' use of the products, and... well you see where I'm going.

Essentially, all j16 is is a learning resource, which is parallel to being a scam for suckers, depending on perception. The idea that nothing new is being offered on one hand, whilst some people get rich off it, is not only ensuring that only unintelligent people fall for it, but admirable in that it's clever, opportunist business.

Yet if the owners/leaders stick to their story of honest intentions, then there is really little anyone can do to disprove their reason for providing the service. It is their prerogative and we can't know the validity of any details for sure, due to the anonymity described earlier.

If there were simple conclusions available to be drawn from the product itself, be it objective, such as failed signal services, lost communication etc, but if continual support is given alongside the consistency of the subjective product, then no one can yet argue it's invalidity, or the supplier's credibility, because right now, the credibility it subjective. One may find value where most don't, and vice versa, so why argue?

But then again, even circular arguments do have positives and take-home messages for both sides.

So why not, everybody, argue in a chilled manner? It's only the net.. keep the dick swinging for the ladies

As far as I remember from his "leaving" message, he said it was not worth for him to continue trading, unless he could run a huge fund, but he has no regret the 5 year life experience for the non-financial reward such as friendship, etc.
