I want to denunciate here these thieves, they manipulate prices when you go profitable to hit your SLs, here you can see an example with 4 images, 2 of a real micro account and 2 of demo account of the SAME BROKER (Alpari). You can compare the prices with other brokers and see how Alpari manipulates prices to hit your SLs, 4 pips of bid deviation that hit my SL.

13731 is as low as i have with 2 brokers.........suspicious.........but then i am short

Here's my M1 E/U chart from CMS (live). It looks like your #2 (live) example, at least to me. I added the down arrow. Times are in EDT.

I have at least a thousand trades and I have been successful in one sense but I get sick and tired of the blatant maniuplation by FXDD, IBFX, "metatrader" brokers, while we have the piece of crap free Metatrader, the brokers have a commercial version Metatrader Manager that compartmentalizes each account and integrates information, the manipulation is obvious, price bars that are cropped just short of the transaction line and then reversing, over and over and over again. I rarely haver a clean trade without drawdown, statistically, it is obviously manipulated, because virtually all of my trades go against me. Frankly, I can't see anybody using stops, it is just totally manipulated.

the market is slow right now Asia not even open yet.

I just closed a trade in profit - from several hours ago.

I counted the seconds it took to close.

5 to 6 WHOLE seconds. If it was a loss it would have been INSTANT!

Could you name your broker please so I know not to get an account with them ? Already noted FXDD and IBFX.

Is it happening everyday?

Frankly many of us... worse the newbies... are not technically know-how and hence will be "cheated" by those unprofessional brokers.

Any chance you can recommend a reliable one?

I open account with alpari (UK) because i thought this is serious broker...:-/ ...I have also live micro account with Alpari but UK. Do you have USA or UK alapri? So far, i have only problem with requotation (few second, mainly during the reports). But i remebered, few times i noticed some dissimilarity between demo and live micro account. I dont know if it is legal...

But i wonder, if it is Alpari scamp, why they still have so much people, why this information doesnt expand, and some authorities punish them? :-(

If you want to invest less than 30,000 US$ I recommend you Oanda (the only reliable market maker IMHO) or MBTrading (ECN), they are the only 2 retail brokers in wich I have not had any issues that affect my money, if you open an account with MBT, don't do it with the MT4 platform, but with the Navigator one, they have a lot of problems with Metatrader, in fact, I have had problems with all MT4 brokers, specially with MT4 market makers, take a look to this thread: http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=70582.

If you want to invest more than 30,000 US$ I recomend you opening an account with Interactive Brokers or to find a reliable broker with a whitelabel Currenex platform based, here you have a list: http://www.currenex.com/about_us_partners.html click on Currenex Prime Brokers & White Label Partners.

Good spot. Yep market makers sucks and take care most MT4 brokers will chase your position. That's sucking as this platform is great.

yep, Alpari will do this as well as all other Metatrader bucketshops pretending to be ECNs and claiming to have no dealing desks. Don't believe the hype.....your loss=their gain so there is a massive conflict of interest

tell me about it! I’ve been burnt a few times myself. And even regulation doesn’t seem to help anymore! Is there no way to check who is truly ECN and who is a “Metatrader bucketshop”, as you so eloquently put it? I mean, is there no way to be sure of my brokers integrity? Or at least some way to protect myself from SL-hunting, spread widening etc.?

I am a EUR/USD Scalper I just opened account in plus500 Broker. My usual spread on EUR/USD is between 1-2.5 pips (floating) last week.
I opened a scalp trade and apparently it happened in time of fundamental announcements/DATA and I was very surprised to find out that the broker charged me 10pips spread…

Can anybody tell me if they are they allowed to do such things? Is it legal to widen spread like that?

Not only is it legal.... it is quite normal. Fundamental announcements very often cause spreads to widen. It is a high-risk time to trade / or to be a br0ker.

I always check the calendar here at FF for news release times, so as to avoid unwelcome surprises.
