but can this possibly be correct? OOB settings, G/U H1, from Jan 2nd to date. W 23 L 0. FTLR with recovery.

How about an Aston Martin for Steve, and a Bugatti for Squalou(is that fair??). Whip would you care to comment on the graph I posted?

Hi Pippo

Your graph looks feasible as the original strategy has a very high win rate. What you don't always see is the amount of floating negative UPL that it goes through to get there. Before the recovery mode was added, this was always the fear with this bot - it would perform beautifully for a long time, but then there would be a trade "going rogue" which would wipe the account out with ever-increasing floating DD. Trying different stop levels destroyed profitability, but trading with no safety net at all was always going to be hugely risky.

What your graph shows is a big 2 thumbs up for the recovery system.

I think Steve just reached into his mine and pulled out another diamond.....My bot is up 400+ points now.....

Settings are very similar but I'm using 2 copies of MPTM

The second MPTM handles the recovery trades........That is why I asked Steve to comment them

I just saw your graph again and realized that the bot is taking tiny TPs. Is that what you are concerned about?

I found this in backtesting earlier versions of the bot: Backtesting would show ludicrously small TP amounts, but then on demo it would produce profit amounts much more in line with what you would expect.

My conclusion is that the backtester is not very good. That is the polite way of putting it.

I think the results that Whip is posting should give you a much better idea of the reality of this bot.

the TPs and win%. I was suspicious...With all due respect, I remain to be convinced that it is/was a backtester problem. Whip's results are my standard. OK, enough said about,"my results." Thanks for your very generous response to my question. Fading to black...

I back-tested the new recovery version on several time frame charts but it seems that the the robot places a new trade before recovering a runaway trade.

Once that happens I have tousands of order modify (130) faults in the journal.
Any suggestions?
