Yeah I've decided to try MT4, the CII indicator Meldici posted a while back I think is a .mq4 file which I'm assuming is for metatrader. I checked on my chart indicators and there is no CII just CCI which TC East kindly pointed out today is not the same thing.

All these indicators are new to me, it's funny how we fall into the habits our teachers teach us, so I'll be trying to learn a new platform, learn what the indicators are then learn how to use them!

MT4 works with my broker so I won't have to open a demo.
I'll go find the post Medici sent me a while ago it was the code for the indicator on ProRealTime.

This is the way to get CI into your Advanced Charts:

1. Click on the 'Indicator' button.

2. Click on the 'New Indicator' button.

3. Write "Composite Index" in the 'Indicator name' field.

Copy and paste this into the 'Programming of indicator' window:

CI = RSi[14](close) - RSI[14](close[9]) + Average[3](RSI[3](close))

Return CI

4. Click on 'Validate program'.

5. Go to the 'Advanced Charts' main window. Do 'File/Save' or hit Ctrl+S and your indicator is saved.

I'll put it onto my PRT chart, but since I don't have real time data on PRT, I'll have a play with MT4 anyway, just downloaded and installed it

now there's a thought....after all, I've spent several years teaching testosterone fueled ego-inflated multi-millionairs how to drive their new hugely expensive gaget filled motor yachts.....so how difficult can it be to teach a few guys how to trade profitably.....

I know some dudes who do a live webcam show every morning, just talk and joke about with the group while making pips...regarding how commercial you want it that's entirely up to you.

I think a fair cost is something like, 1 goat a month? Prize goats though, none of that weak shit

The thought is growing on me...

What do you think of a HotComm based chat room, just like the prop firms, so the paying members could here our beautiful voices over the system, and we could make trade calls in real time - which would more than make up for the fee?

Speaking of which, somewhere in the $100s per month would be reasonable, don't you think?

Should offer some variety to your maritime teaching, which sounds interesting...

Glad to see we were reduced to goats and dominatrix by the evening again, though.

Just to add in case some of you haven't got monthly/weekly pivots up.. timing of london close + TL break + 50% fib target (rough SR zone IMO better target than 38FF )

Cheers for that. My CI divergence + fading the extremes did in this case produce 45 pips div2div And in my book the bottom is the 38.2% level of yesterday's London range.

I have ditched the higher TF pivots some time ago. Got to make things as simple as possible, but not simpler....

Tell me about it. What got me into scalping m1 and less was just going mad with higher tf fibs, I just saw strong levels all over the place until I was going mental hahah so just stripped everything and started reading price, only jumping in when it was telling me something

Nice! Thanks for sharing. It was interesting to watch the noise at the top. SPX was going up and up but no movement above 2772, and then as soon as SPX turned down, so did the Euro.

Generally, I'd stick to the rules laid out here, i.e. CI divergence and fade the extremes (with some car taken of course), and only watch SPX for abnormal equity moves.

One case in question is the 'flash crash' of 6 May when I, true to habit faded the extremes (EURJPY at the time) only to find price gapping down another couple of hundred pips. Luckily I made it back, and more, on the rebound, but that's the kind of thing I want to look out for, and they happen on a smaller scale more frequently, when you can get stopped out before reversal if not careful.

We all have to find what suits us...in my case it's going to the siopa to buy some food and wine and spend eve with nice company who speaks back.

In your case, I suppose, it's goat molestation this eve?

You know I can't remember anything from more than 24hrs ago good sir!

I know guys who watch DJ or DAX for clues about EU, but SPY is a new one, to me

would be interested to know why it helps, I always thought it was applicable to yen,, which would mean the inverse to EU

Hahah! Could be! Gonna go to some courts now and if a goat happens to run in my direction and I accidentally hold it close to me then I am nay to blame!
