Welcome.

There is no moving average cross signal here ie 2 ma's crossing.

The 1hr 8 lwma is just a visual clue as to short term trend. We use 1hr chart (then 15 min chart) to set up trade number 2 from page 1.

When we believe we have a trade (from whatever set up) we then look at 5 min charts for a hl/lh entry. When a candle crosses and closes over the 5 min 8 lwma that is a good visual clue that a hl/lh may have occurred.

The 5 min 8 lwma has nothing to do with the 1 hr 8 lwma.

This is my 1hr chart. The reasons for following a 1hr 8 lwma for short term trend should be clear.

I'm posting this ej chart again. I wasn't in front of computer but this set up happens again and again and again and ................ you get the picture.

EJ almost gets to 106, and bounces some 70 pips. Then it falls to 25 level and the bounces get smaller and smaller. Smaller bounces from a level is a high prob signal that the level will fail.

When the right set up occurs, 1hr down, 15 min down, 5 min lh with little/low lower wick on set up candle good chance its going to break through.

If you got in earlier bounces and got out keep going if bounces are smaller. Regulars here have seen me talk of these loads of times.

Its the MTF mov average indi here

settings 60, 8, 0, 3, 0.

It equates to the 1hr 8 lwma, if you feel that will give a decent indication of trend you can have accurately on your chart instead of guessing what 5 min ema is closest to 1hr.

Would I miss a 5 min trade if we're on wrong side, no as we should have complied with other trade rules. When EVERYTHING is lining up 1hr, 15 min no contra indication, 5 min hl/lh, right side of 1hr 8lwma, 5 min entry candle little/no wick in direction of trade = very high prob IMHO.

This set up is a trade 2 from page 1.

Sold here, vols not great when move just below RN rejected exited for +17. Looking forward to normal volumes coming soon!!!

Exited early, probably, but we have little faith in follow through on which our methods have been built.

First signal for me was around the 107.45, however broker dropped as i was about to enter the market.

However made a few long trades on eu and ej

+2.8% today so far using 0.5% risk per trade.

Looking for a price action setup to go long on ej around this level.

Intraday setup that is.

Hi Vantage took same trade entered two bars back from yours though posted in islander and medici as looked like no one was on here earlier.

2 quite nice sells earlier aswell posted in islander and medici one in Frankies and other on London open.

All LHs still not confident to anything but HL/LH but will def start doing 2Bs soon though.

EJ the arrow up 100% system trade is the one we missed this morning as we were a little late.

The x is the lh sell we took for -16. Whether this is being overly critical I don't know. It wasn't the lh sell at the top 107.50 (at the extreme) and it wasn't a 100% system trade as the 1hr hadn't closed yet. The arrow down is the 100% system trade that of course works like a bomb. We didn't take that one as we were in gu.

Just goes to show, miss a trade, take the wrong one that looks good but not quite right and you have the diff between a BE day and +75 or so.

A lesson in there somewhere I think!! No-ones perfect but this game is tough enough as it is without making it harder on yourself.

Stick to the rules the trades will come.

Fantastic trading looks like you must have gotten some of that ej move up. Almost 3% from .5% risk is great.

We are currently running at 1% risk, lower than normal, but will review once Aug past us.
