Sold cable as LO headed south

I'm waiting for a LH to sell the euro, which is above its DP and 5m 30ema...

I'm watching the action around the 00 level and days open level of 5393, booking some profits and then sell the retrace, looking for yesterdays low at 5371 and then the fib expansions.....TWT

Also watching € news in 40 mins....€ still > its DP

Not a fixed goal. Happy with 50, 25 will do, but it's about trading well, following the rules more than that. Such as not closing that short...which was premature. When will I learn?

Thank you for you're candor. I here ya on closing that short...I got out with 9.5 and was happy.....for about 4 minutes. LOL

Hi all sold under both these bars exited 1st when it double bottomed at 15406 nad closed above 15410 a S/R from yesterday
And 2nd trade was watching 15406 exit would have been 1 pip above the doji like bar never went above so exited at days open 15396.

Was a bit nervous about the 2nd one selling right on LO what do you guys think about opening positions right on FO and LO or doesn't it make any difference to you?

If you mean "around" rather than 8am sharp, then it's a very sensible thing to do.

Thanks, I tend to enter at levels and close at levels. And when in doubt about whether a level will break I take the money off the table. Still I think it's good to set targets based on "the bigger picture" rather than being duped by the noise at a particular level.

I didnt read cable well and gave back some of my profits, but buying € off its DP was much better. Now its testing yesterdays high and due for a retrace, so I've got a small sell

I also sold cable off the 5462 level also a fib retrace and todays MR1.

Both are for a quick ~15 pips and out to wait for the next set up

As usual, the Euro data seems to have been well known by the insiders and the rally started 20 mins before the release.

Like yesterdays US news, it wasnt difficult to get on board and plunder some pips.....http://cdn.forexfactory.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Well, it isn't as easy to read as the Euro. I have a recurring thought about dropping cable and focusing on the Euro with the objective of squeezing every pip out of it...

Given that their respective 10 day and 50 day ADRs are currently the same, that would make sense.......

However, I do like the ultra high vol 15m graveyard doji that made cable's "euro assisted" high. If it breaks back under its DP / 5425 level I can see it retesting the earlier lows and perhaps bringing my earlier targets into play, so I'm holding a short from a LH with a BE+1 stop

I'll be back for the NY opens.....BFN
