Well ok i just usually watch by me from 14:00-16:00 which is 8am est-10am est so didnt know all the stuff inbetween haha, so i learnd something new today whoooo .

Did i imagine myself or did FF semi crash now or something???

My last buy stalled at the old resistance area ~the 5425 level, so I banked and waited for the 10am news - which was bad both for home sales and manufacturing, so the dollar headed south and cable & euro north with plenty of time to get onboard. This time the 25 level was easily broken and should now return to acting as support....

I took some off at - MS2 - 5442 and bought back off the 25 support.....basic trading off "the levels" http://cdn.forexfactory.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Now for the 5462 resistance.....

LOL - its all part of the service.....

and yes, the FF servers crashed due to too many people trying to view the news....

Euro really motored after the news - +100 pips in 23 mins vs cable's 77 pips.....I'm out of both now, looking for the 1m 30ema to trigger more buys.....

and when its at the 50 level too its offering more pips for plundering....

Hi all nothing for me today apart from a LH sell at 15462 that I gave up on and took 3pips hope you all had a good day.
Medici when does volume start to come back into the market september?
I don't know because I started trading at christmas so this is my 1st time trading summer.

Don't know that or if volumes have been bad. I thought there had been good volume over the past couple of weeks, no?

Nope I dont no really haven't really noticed much difference and haven't got a volume thing.
It was just I have read posts on threads where people say they don't excpect big moves because of low volume in summer and volume will come back into the market after the summer.
Are the markets generally quieter in the summer?

Certainly haven't been that this summer. My general approach is to "trade what I see", or a "don't know" approach, i.e. let the charts speak for themselves instead of having a bias or opinion that comes between me and what is actually going on. I can't count the times I have missed opportunities by not adhering to that principle.

Cheers Medici I agree I find it hard to go against what I have been thinking. If the chart is telling me something completely different to what I am thinking its so much harder to actually take the trade that the chart is telling me to do.

Anyway I've been staring at these screens for 15hours now time to have a rest.

GM - 1.2630 is 61.8% of the last leg up and seems to be in play this morning.

Great thread, my trading window also, can you tell me Which tf and two points have you used to get the 61.8 level??.
Also, do you use CII with default settings or have you guys optimised it for different time frames?

GM all - also the days open at 2627 just provided a 15m / 5m HL, so another reason to buy. Now I'd like the DP at 2644 to hold.....German Ifo Business Climate due in 1.5 hours....

Cable also put in similar HLs, but it seems sluggish vs €

I see that the dollar - via Swissy - hasnt been able to bounce after it sold off on the bad data yesterday afternoon

GM doc, and welcome to the thread! Fibs as per chart, and CI with standard settings. Optimised as it is...

Stole a few pips on that HL as well, but my hunch is that this is going down, in particular cable.

I agree, I did also buy € off the DP, but the bearish dvg now showing up on the 5m has helped me exit at the earlier high.

Cable hasnt even got above its DP at 5426, so I'll wait for LO to confirm - or not! - a sell...
