No need to answer my last question. I know what causes this.

When the ea has done its thing, it prints the suspended message on screen. There is nothing in the code to tell it to remove this message when the ea is removed. The message is left behind but means nothing.

I am going to do some work on these ea's over the weekend; I want to add the take profit features from the auto-trader to them. I will sort out this display glitch.

Remove the robot from the chart and briefly change time frames; the message will disappear.

I have not noticed this because I replace the trade-sending ea with phover's data-gathering ea each time. This displays its own message and rubs out the one left behind.

It is a display glitch only; the new ea is working when you drag it onto a chart.

With reference to previous posts concerning chart shift and changing 6th's and bb's - As our system is centred around these two indicators it would make sense that this is issue is reolved. My understanding is that the correct chart set up is to have 4 weeks showing on the chart-

I understand from a previous version of the 6ths 3.6DC you can set the number of bars to be used - IE SET AT 120 WOULD FIX IT FOR A 4 WEEK PERIOD - 6 bars per day x 5 days a week x 4 weeks (assumming no bars are printed at the weekend, also holidays may need to be accounted for)

Also the programmers here i am sure can set the number of bars to be displayed on the chart at anyone time in this way we are fixing a consistant view of our tradeing time period and we will all be looking at the same chart image irrespective of if chart shift is on or off etc

The reason I added the variable input into the 6th's indi (6ths 3.6DC) was twofold:

1. As you rightly suggest it is IMHO easier to fix 120 bars (assuming you are following 'classic' NanBob on 4H) so that chart zooming etc, does not then play a part in the decision points being used by the EA.

2. My earlier tests on lower time frames suggest that some pairs will perform better with < 120 bars & some with > 120 bars. Once this great system is finalised, we can start to 'fine tune' the pairs by altering the look back period.

I have gone into the tools-options-charts and set maximum to 130 (added 10 for slight more room)- if i shink my bars it dispalys the same number of bars each time if i increase size it will display less bars but i can increase it to the 4 weeks and it is the same on all charts then - maybe a help

Is it possible to display the date range for the history the ea is calculating from - thank you

Just take a new chart whatever pair whatever timeframe, put all colors in black and drop the attached EA.
In the settings put your magic number and name.
-1 gives an empty field
Just mark "all history" in the history tab and off you go.

Nope, I don't have the mq4 file and it's not from me.
Just change the time span in the history tab to your liking and the display will adapt.

Amazing, this system has totally changed my trading!

+ 519 pips so far this week with no open orders (at the moment!) This includes a couple of positions that i had held over the weekend and closed them on Monday. Even taking these off i am still + 409 this week.

I know that i have left pips on the table by closing out too early but at this point in my tading career i am more than happy to be taking profits!

Great system and a great group of people here contributing.

Don't know about the rest of you guys but I think it would be nice to have an option in the inputs box that would allow you to select whether you want EA to reenter after TP. I like EA 1 reentering of course but would like the option on EA's 2 and 3. thanks

In fact PhAnTi's call for buy Eur/cad was proper one in my opinion. I think you have zoomed out your screen to much and your sixth indicator took average of too high number of bars.

Bob mentioned this pair as a good one for potential trade in his post today.

Phanti, does your broker allow MicroLots? Also use the Attachments button when you are posting to upload images (next to the simile face)
