Does anyone have Todd Kruegers support and resistance course?

I would like to get some reviews on it to have an idea whether I should buy it. I have the small fear that it is good but will not make wonders as I need to work (trade I mean) and practice rather at this stage. I need to form a nice stuff rom the big cube of ice.

Any reviews or comments would be appreciated.

I have seen most of them and while they are excellent, I find his free weekly videos to be useful too. Chuck archived a whole bunch of them over at our vsa site. I will get the links from there and post them in here if I can dig them up.

PS The next update to smart's advanced vsa modules will be some of todd's stuff.

Thx Sham. I am actually a follower of his newsletter and I find it a great value. I am just curious what he does have to say about S/R and market structure.

A new post on using both standard vsa, as well as our very own advanced vsa (multibar vsa patterns identified using smart) was just posted to our posterous site.

One user from the chat was long on EU from much earlier, perhaps he can come in here and expand on that as well.

I won't bother to annotate as I am packing and getting ready to head to the Florida house and a much needed vacation and the chart is fairly self explanatory lol. We still have strength in the bg range but multiple signs of weakness are coming in.

HiddenGap, I cannot send you a pm so I wanted to respond here to your post in the other thread regarding my news post and specifically your thoughts regarding smart not getting in ahead or as early as you would have. I thought I was clear that I was looking at that chart in response to an earlier private message just prior to the news. Anyone that knows me, knows that I trade baskets and rarely look at individual charts unless specifically requested. I just found it interesting how simple vsa is getting in on the right side of the news and posted up a quick chart clearly showing that.


If you wish I can provide a SMART chart for that time period so you can compare and see that SMART saw the same things you did and likely did so at the same time. I would be interested in your thoughts as well good or bad as I respect your knowledge as a trader and it may help improve SMART for everyone. Again I just happened to look just prior to the news and made a quick post. I have said this many times SMART is not some weird magical system it *IS* VSA. It just offers an easier way to see/read it.

In any case I hope all is well and good luck trading.

I expected a good retrace back to the daily pivot line after SOW strength signal

This resulted in a good 50 pips profit

From my understanding...

I think Shamus already stated it in his last post, that SMART is not some magical tool. It's just something that helps you see or notice these patterns easily without straining the eyes. For you to use any VSA tool you must understand the major principles of VSA trading. No tool on earth can be perfect (even TG or any other out there) therefore you alone will have to decide when you see a pattern which is in isolation and decide to take the trade or not. If you focus on improving your chart reading skills (VSA basics first) you will understand/know where the market is likely to go next because without understanding the basics, you'll find it hard using SMART or even TG difficult to read. For instance when you see a climatic down bar on your chart, normally this would mean strength because weakness occurs on up bars and strength on down bars, but if it breaks a support line (which you have to draw yourself) this means weakness. Therefore ND's under this level would mean prices are likely to head lower.

So in a nutshell I think what Shamus has said is that SMART=VSA and it helps take some stress off your table by painting the bars and sounding alerts.
