I believe the cartoon points to the notion that to a large extent you have to have some degree of talent to play the markets. You can't BS your way thru trading, you can't brown nose your way to success like you might on a job. If you suck at trading, it will show up in your P&L. You have to be talented at the art of trading or talented at stealing ideas from someone who knows how to trade.
