For the reason that 1min, in my view, is good for continuation trades based on HL/LHs only, and that's what I will use it for. Period.

From the beginning my main objective in fx has been to catch as large a chunk as possible of the swings during the European morning. For that reversal trades are needed.

Previously I have used chart patterns and S/R levels on naked charts, which requires some discretionary judgement. An indicator based approach, like the one outlined here is a killer strategy in my view.

Thanks Medici interesting post I had never looked at it like that before.
Problem is IGindex advanced charts don't have CI indicator but I'm sure they will have something similar.

No worries. I've got the ProRealTime, i.e. IG Advanced Charts, code for the CI. Will post it here later.

This is the way to get CI into your Advanced Charts:

1. Click on the 'Indicator' button.

2. Click on the 'New Indicator' button.

3. Write "Composite Index" in the 'Indicator name' field.

Copy and paste this into the 'Programming of indicator' window:

CI = RSi[14](close) - RSI[14](close[9]) + Average[3](RSI[3](close))

Return CI

4. Click on 'Validate program'.

5. Go to the 'Advanced Charts' main window. Do 'File/Save' or hit Ctrl+S and your indicator is saved.

Thanks for taking the time to do that. After just a quick look back it seems to call the reversals perfect and along with PA like you say a killer strategy!

Scarily accurate isn't it!? The killer strategy needs an anthem, and "Divergence to Divergence" is a bit much to hope for, so let's go for this one instead:

yep there was a nice HL trade also think this had divergence but I'm not sure I'll need you to confirm that when your back if you can and a nice exit off the RN with divergence.
I didn't take this as was busy but what do you think?

I missed the early session but couldn't resist a go at an EU long when I saw the CI indi showing divergence.

I used the m5 for my entry.

Dulwich, on the other hand, I've never seen anything suspicious in when I've visited. In fact they could use some livening up. Mervyn King, for example, wouldn't suffer from popping a few...anti-depressants, speed, anything that might perk him up. Any good dealers for that in your hood?
