Clearly this thread is divolving into the usual noise. If you want to listen to Ashraf then listen. If not then don't.

Once again, analysts are not automatically traders. It's different. There are lots of very good analysts out there who have jobs and make very good money. Just because they are a good analyst does not automatically mean they will set up a personal trading account and make millions. Some don't like trading. Some are just not very good at it.

There is no doubt that Mr Alaidi is probably well paid for what he does. His job is to inform the general public about the "goings on" in the FX market. Now, do I take his advice as a trader.....HELL TO THE NO!!!! He is not a trader, he doesn't trade his own account....he can spout out anything and doesn't have to be held accountable for it. If he makes a bad call, he will still get his paycheck. As a trader, I can never take advice from someone who has no "skin" in the game. Then again, you shouldn't be taking advice from anyone...you should trade your system. You can incorporate certain parts of your system based on input from other traders though. But to randomly take a trade from a so called analyst and to wrecklessly abandon your established trading system is not a good thing. Again, I'm sure Mr Alaidi has some very intelligent things to say about the markets that is useful to someone. But, he is not a trader.

Well it seems that FF is again playing their games and doing stupid things. Never saw in my life a place so authoritarian as FF. I guess they are from IRAN.

Not that I care too much about this thread but the overall treatment they do to their costumers here is deplorable.

I'm not posting here anymore folks. Yes I'm sour because of my cat but FF is not the right place for me to stay.....bye to all !!

Well a lot of bankers and hedge fund managers take his advice.....which is basically why analysts exist. But what do they know right? They only manage billions of dollars. Not like us retail traders........ha!

I just don't believe that FF is moving this thread to the commercial area......thats total insanity!! Just because Jay Walker made a joke about charging for tossing coins trades.

Again I don't care if they stick this thread on somebody's butt, I personally was done with it since I reached a conclusion about Mr Laidi.

Are you for real? Do you understand the food chain? Interbank brokers are the bitches to the banks' trading desks and cannot compete in terms of salary or bonus, I promise you that. They are there to beg for bits of business that traders put their way and spend their time at the beck and call of the traders, 24/7, ready to entertain them whenever they want with whatever they want. They have do anything to stop business going to rival brokers.

No successful bank trader would opt to become a broker, getting screamed at by the traders 24/5, and having to simply bend over and take it with a smile on their face.

read again what i said...

the brokerage BUSINESS makes far more money on its investment than any interbank desk. let me explain to you dim light why..

the broker is not risking any capital, so they never experience the losses the interbank guys to. especially as the interbank guys have to make the prices as well.
the broker makes a turn on the total volume being put through him, he can afford to be a bitch, he gets paid well to do it.
interbank volumes going through a brokerage mean that the broker is making a better return on his investment than the interbank traders - why do you think everyone and his uncle is setting up retail brokerages and giving pea brains like you lot access to the markets??
Ashraf is not a trader and doesn't claim to be. The stupidity of setting up a trading account to follow the calls of an analyst working at a brokerage and then writing a thread about it because you think you are clever is just unfathomable.... someone give platypuss the dunce cap.

You're out of touch, I am afraid.... Things have changed a great deal from the late 90s, big boy, when you were clearly the big shot in the FX world, setting the markets on fire. Yes, the founders of interbank bookies make decent money, particularly the dominant houses, but the individual monkeys that they employ (were you one of those?) to service, say, the FX Options interbank market, will not make anywhere near the cash the interbank traders -the guys who actually make these markets and manage the resulting risk - earn.

When you were put out to pasture after setting the world alight in the 90s, I was working in the above said market, the time when e-commerce started to take off. I had no problems with the individual bookies, as they gifted me and my colleagues with many a free lunch.

As for retail brokerages; again, the owners will make cash from absorbing the liquidity that you personally gift to the market each day you log on to your platform - thank you for that generosity. But to be an analyst (such as Ashraf or some Daily FX guy), or to hold a "front office" position in one of these shops, really is the bottom rung of the ladder in the markets sphere. No disrespect to any of these guys/girls.

Finally, with regards to Ashraf: I think a guy who makes money from being a strategist in the public sphere - one whom greatly supplements his income from self-promotion that is aimed solely at the world of retail traders - is fair game to have a thread dedicated to the prescience, or otherwise, of his trade calls. If Ashraf is as good as his self-publicised hype, and Platypus were to be proved incorrect, then this thread will be doing Mr Laidi a great service, a huge dollop of free publicity on a public forum. What could possibly go wrong?

Now, I'll post no longer on this thread, as it has veered way off track from its original goal.

Ok....I really thought that this thread was done a while ago. But than Jay came and revived it. On top of that the mods here on FF
catapulted the thread to new and higher horizons moving it to the commercial section, so before such honor I decided to come clean
and speak my heart so all FF members could hear and see.
