Oh, come on guys. There I was, enjoying a weekend compiling a little essay for Stocky's thread, and you go and spoil it by diverting my attention away to Gann concepts.

15571 is important level to watch, H4 nor daily candles close above or below to give a direction, for now still in bulls side again inside the daily channel..

I did not trade on friday. Now gbp/jpy continues staying in an ugly range. I hope it will go out of it in the beginning of next week. I am going to sell at the break of minor support which is at 134.00 level. A breakout up is also a possibility but I would only enter it if it happens in the European sesion and by no means on sunday open.

Yes, I'm going for it. Entered a small short @ 1.56, target 450 pips. I might add more later.
Time to reach target: I hope not longer than 2 weeks.
I have this trade in a separate sub account so I can just forget about it and go on with daily and shorter term stuff.

Wow, what a scenario: so that's up to 140 (139.4?), then a plummet down to 127? I'm trying to relate it to the May 6 crash where we trumped up to 143 (the TL on your chart), and then the flash crash happened, with a new year low. It would be a similar scenario, wouldn't it.

It looks quite possible IMO, except for the fact that it's hard to fathom enough gas in the US tank to drive us up that amount of pips, but perhaps a GU rebound at the expense of UJ will get us there. Complicating things is that it looks like the EURUSD summer free-ride melt-up is over as well. And when things get bad in the US, sterling tends to reflect that more, given the notion that the US economy is more similar to UK (ie., service oreinted) as opposed to the manufacturing, agricultural base that is (still) more prevalent through the EU. But of course, there's no more room under the rugs of the EU, and there will be glaring problems this fall IMO, including an approach to parity.

Things are looking quite bearish for the USA, and now that focus and real money is returning to the (world) equity markets, we may just end up in fear mode. Whatever happens, lets hope all of us can profit handsomely by making the right direction call. One thing I am fairly certain of is that we are going to be in for some wild swings in the coming months.

I see that GU has made a new low to ~1.55345 - looks like it's broken the channel; slight chance for recovery on H4/D1, but the preceding candles are bearish unlike any other visit of the lower channel previously.

No BOJ intervention underway. (And there won't be for quite some time IMO).

Something squirrelly about your EJ feed; checked 2 brokers and they all look like this. You should check FXCM's UJ and other yen feeds, but something looks terribly wrong in the last few hours of that chart.
