Quoting GoatTDislikedHey all. Who here has multiple monitors? Is it a pain in the ass to setup? Do you find it worthwhile? Is there anything I should know if I were planning to do it?
Thanks have a good weekend all....Ignored

Quoting loudoniiiDislikedGoatt- As described by Darkstart, dual monitors dead easy to set up and are supported fully by Windows XP. There is also a USB gizmo device that allows you to use up to 4 monitors, I believe, so works even with laptops - I haven't used it but my buddies in other trading chatroom tell me it works really well, real fast. I'll see if I can dig up a name and URL for that gizmo for you later today.Ignored
Quoting acurawsuDislikedI have 4 monitors and I love the setup!
Computer:
2.5 GHz, 256mb ram, 80 GB HD. I don't play games, so the system works fine for me. I use a Matrox G450 quad card. My computer only had one free PCI, so I had to use one quad head card. I may have been cheaper to use 2 dual head cards, but this is working just fine.
It took about 10 min to install the video card and hook up the monitors. The matrox card came with DVI to analog connectors (my LCD's are analog).
I did not even need to edit the BIOS, the card came on-line as soon as I restarted.
As for price, I bought the monitors and card separately, but I got them both on eBay. Both items were new, in the factory sealed boxes. I have 3 MASS 15" LCD (horizontal), and one 17"CRT. The MASS set up was about $550 and the card was $250.
If trading is something you are serious about, then you need the equipment of professionals.
For me, I treat trading as a business. All of my expenses are tracked, as well as profits. The nice thing is I have business licenses. That means I deduct all the books, seminars, computer equipment, cable internet, from my income taxes. Although I suggest you contact a tax professional to see if this type of activitie is acceptable/legal for you.Ignored
