i could be wrong but that is what I UNDERSTOOD

the reentry points are MANUALLY ENTERED... cause as far as i understand the system its a SEMI automated not a FULL automated..

if your looking for "a sort of fully automated" you can check with stevehopwood, he's working...

maybe its the term "BOOKS" thats why nobody bothered to read it.. maybe you can use terms like USER GUIDE , MANUAL ...

  1. Dont play in the middle
  2. Dont play BB when they are tight unless one of them is well outside the GOLD band
  3. See pic below. I would only do sells on tight bands if it is above the GOLD line. Here is the AUD/USD move that got me out of that one. You would never do buys up here or in the middle.

I just took my third GBP/NZD profit for the week playing off the top BB. I keep the #1 EA on and see if I can get a fourth. That was a nice 40 pips.

Hi Mart,

Just a quick question about the scanning panel which looks like it will be every useful - great bit of programming BTW.

ATM it does not seem to work on any XXXJPY pair with my broker (Alpari UK), but does seem OK on other pairs.

As far as I can see the Manager EA is running fine. I do get this warning when compiling the Manager .mq4 file
"1;39;;;Function "lf" is not referenced and will be removed from exp-file" but no problems reported by the Terminal when loading or running.

Am I overlooking something here -

EDIT - just realised I am using my version of the sixths indi (attached) which allows custom setting of bars used. Is this maybe the root of the problem?

If you cannot even be bothered to read the stuff in post 1 properly, then the trading philosophy document, then the other docs, then you have no place trading forex.

Don't do any live trading, will you. You are going to lose all your money.

I respectfully suggest that you stop cluttering this thread with asinine requests for baby-pips type information, and do some work yourself, before Bob decides to adopt my approach to the lazy and dimwitted, and ban you.

Thank you, not sure what went wrong i am fully aware that a fundemental part of your trading methodolgy is the sixths indicator -stay out of the green no mans land zone do not trade here.

So i am not sure why i took a trade there - the first thing i look for even with the dashboard is where is price in relation to the gold lines. So i am cunfused about this trade i cant see how i would have taken it when it is clearly in the green zone. anyway thank you -

A portrait of a series of trades. GBP/USD July 25 to today 8-11. I just closed out my GBP/USD series of trades. Of the last month they were obviously the worst group of trades we had to face. I still kick myself for not taking the early BE trade from L1 and L2. They later on became large losses when they would have cancelled each other out. It was one set of trades where I broke my rule of not letting winners become losers.

Ok this is how it went: there were 16 total trades 11 winners and 5 losers. I cant remember the pip totals but the total loss on all the combines trades was $17.40 at ten cents a trade that was -174 pips. That was my only real losing series of trades during that time period and the only series I took a L1 loss in my 2.4.2 recovery system. The system worked so powerful during that time that I never lowered my equity line and it kept going up during the entire time.
During that time I had 126 winning trades and 22 losing trades and 5 of those were from the gbp/usd group. That still was a win rate of 83%. The good news is I increased my account by just over 20% so during that time I averaged almost 7% a week while dealing with that trade. So you ask what will I do to improve this so we can avoid trades like the gbp/usd. I will do nothing. If you cant handle the occasional losing trade without going bananas and trying to change everything you dont belong in FOREX. YOU WILL HAVE LOSING TRADES. I will take my 83% win ratio and 7% increase of my account all the way to the bank. Thank you. That is what I mean by a series of trades.

You are not wasting my time or giving rubbish. I do stupid trades too. I just got into a gbp/jpy trade too early and now I am in the hole also but you know that is Forex. Besides these mistakes gives me a chance to teach and that is what I love to do the most.

FOREX: where every bad decision is magnified a hundred times and every good decision is magnified by 1.

Hi Folks !

First of all congrats phover for the nice panel

Anyway it would be fine if one could create an indicator with
the following alerts :

1. Primary trade
RWB (Red MACD, Blue and White Stoch.) are below 15 / above 85)
2. Secondary trade
WB (Blue and White Stoch.) are below 15 / above 85)

The levels should be adjustable.

Alert should be send via Message window / Sound / E-Mail as option

Maybe phover could integrate the alert into his existing panel.

I have not had to use 2.4.2 yet in my live trading, but I was stuck with that GU trade from last week that had an L2 trade set.

I just checked back with the demo and found the pair of trades closed out at breakeven, courtesy of the gu fall this week.

Always pleasant when a plan works out.

I was surprised you did not close all GBPUSD trades yesterday when it went into 1.57xx territory (shows I have much to learn since writing that I can see the CABLE is 1.5660 so you made the right decision in staying in). If you subscribe to Boris Schlossberg`s weekly video newsletters you know his famous saying which he repeats all the time and that is "DO AS I SAY AND NOT AS I DO". I think the same applies here.

On the subject of your trades, my fellow traders should bear in mind that you are the GURU and we are the students. You know this system inside out and have many years of experience, whereas we are novices. Therefore, we should stick to the rules conservatively. There is always ample opportunities to lose money, making it is the hard part.

For those of you who wanted to know a good time for the #4 EA. USD /CHF is a good example of a trade that may not make the upper BB line but the RWB are up there at 85 and you could miss the trade.
