And now I'm confused, right now gmt is 12.15, London time is 13.15, SA time local 14.15 and fxpro chart time 15.15. Cutting a long story short if I take that back aren't these trades being taken on wrong candles?

hello Vantage, fxpro be same as is fxdd and is 02:00 candle hi & lo.

London Breakout is from another thread.

Notice the box time (23:00 to 0:00). This is a 2 hour setup, not 1 hour as this thread discusses. Taking the time box to 0:00, rather than a 23:00 to 23:59 seems to remove false breakouts. Look at yesterday for example.

using that ant-GIBreakout_V.0.4.1, i eyeballed the last 100 trade set ups with reach 10pips regardles of the candle size. My gues came out to be 15-19 loosing trades making it a greater than 80% winning percetage to make 10pips daily.

Very, very , very interesting!

I will have to conduct a detailed stat evaluation with more than 100 set ups applying the rules of the candle range 11-18pips and TP1 and TP2 percentages.

If someone has already conducted this evaluation and willing, please share your stat findings even though it better conducting our own evaluation for ourselves.


I dont trade this pair at all. So, this would provide an additional method and pair to the existing method.


Nice find and post to share with all. I do agree with staying the path of the rules posted on the first post and will not deviate.

This is one example you show.

Have you evaluated this change over 100 or 200 trades to see if it truly voids more false signals? If so, what is the impact to TP1 and TP1 pip amount and thei perctage of winning as well? Does all this improve the 1 hour to 2 hour range you are suggesting to look at?

Be interested to hear you rationale.

It's dejavu all over again. Today's high was a little bit higher than yesterday's, but the scenario is the same. It's still a great strategy, though.

EA takes order when price reaches range high or range low instead of using buy stop/sell stop because EA can't take buy stop/sell stop when price is near high/low.
EA takes 2 orders, 1st order tp=range, 2nd order tp=range x 2.

EA checks high and low between 23:00GMT and 0:00GMT, so trade starts 0:00GMT.
You set the parameter GMTOffset correctly?

one more thing, when tp1 is hit, 2nd order s/l is moved to be.

i am sorry i was confused , yes your EA is correct. only issue i found is we need to add spread to tp1, tp2 otherwise profit and loss are not same. if we lose a trade and win a trade, the net should be 0

I use Alpari UK. I downloaded data from history center, but some data is missing in spite of modelling quality 90%.
