Our dream will come true should we never give up

I would have a pretty small room for trading in few more days (much smaller than your 12' x 24' of course, in Hong Kong). But at least its a private one. I may probably connect another 19" mon (come from my son's old computer) with my main one so one for trading and the other for FF, haha.

My daughter is home from college and likes to stay up late doing things. Then while I was trying to take a nap before Tokyo opened I got 4 phone calls. So with all this I thought my better plan was to go to bed early and hit it the next night. Needless to say I missed my beautiful entry. Ah well get another tomorrow, there is always more....

A lot came up last night that needed to be handled. I was way to distracted to trade. If I can't give the chart/price action 100% of my attention I don't even turn on the computer. Keeps me from making stupid mistakes.

Hopefully I will be able to hit the charts tonight.

Here is some information that some may find useful.

www.goldprices.org

You can get gold, silver, oil, and can overlay with currency pairs. I like watching oil for USDCAD and yen pairs, especially AUDJPY. Also watch gold for AUDUSD. This can all be done from tick charts to monthly ones.

You want the live charts. They can be "unpeged" to a full screen. There is also all kinds of studies you can use, even my favorite, fibonacci. Need Java set up on your computer.

It has been a bugger of a week for me. I got in a few good trades. Life has pulled me from doing any more trading after that. Last night was a big thunder storm with a lot of rain, so that shut me down.

I will hit the charts again tonight, but with the NFP news tomorrow things could be quiet or a volatile mess. London will tell us.

With today being my wifes and mine anniversary (21 years) charts tonight may be unhealthy for me.

So many pips to all and here's to a fresh week starting up in a few days.

Tokyo has been open for an hour and so far not much action.

The charts show my trading plan so far for the evening.

EU and GU are range bound and will trade them between the two ranges.

UJ is in a down trend and if I can get a retracement to the daily pivot and 38.2 fib I will consider a short on the break of the up trend line.

I am also considering the USDCAD. Oil has not moved much today. My thinking here is that we may see more of a technical move as opposed to one based on the commodities. A retracement here would be at the weekly S2 and the 38.2 fib.

Took an entry 2 1/2 hours after TO. The limit of my time for Tokyo. Set stop only 3 pips above swing high. Apparently I can’t count. In situations like this I go for 7 pips over swing high.

Hit stop
(Down .02%) of account.

Erikte ..... It is all yours.

Long position on pound. @ 1.5904 12:30am

Head fake out of Tokyo high. Tracked trend back down on 15m chart. When 5m candle broke and closed beyond trend line took position. My concern here is that price has been volatile all day to flat. I know a big chunk of this is due to the anticipation of NFP tomorrow morning. I am also dealing with “00”.

Also the London side of things, they may be trying to drive up price in anticipation of the potential for good numbers for NFP. It is a battle and we just need to be on the right side.

I closed it out at BE. The price action is insane. There is a lot of news coming up in 20 minutes and I was not locked into profit. I will let the big boys play, I am going to bed.

No trading for me in the morning. Have a cabinet installation job to do.

Preparing for the week ahead.

I will have the house to myself this upcoming week and I am looking forward to the uninterrupted trading time that I will be able to enjoy. As it turns out work will even be in a slow spell.

The GU chart I started with last week is still holding true. The Bankers reversal targets are approaching. The first may get hit this week.

Now for the UJ.

Price is sitting at a heavy area of resistance going back to 1995. If I were to make a guess, we should see a bounce here. If price falls through there is no telling how far it will go.

This could be a candidate for a good long position. I will be waiting for a break to the upside and a retrace to an appropriate fib level. Then it turns back up, take a position.

I see a lot of technical reasons for price to jump out of here. This week will more than likely tell us the story.

Now for the EU.

I don’t know what to think about this pair. It is just climbing out of there with hardly any holdups. Economies don’t change so quickly. But who knows what the powers at be have to say about it. So I will just ride this train till it runs out of steam.

There are some areas of resistance approaching which may slow down or stop its advancement. All in all it is in a strong up-trend.

Now for the AU.

The Aussies have been tweeking up their interest rates no doubt but to encourage foreign money to come into Australia.

Gold has also been on the climb which also helps out the AUD. My next targets for gold is the 121.4% and 138.2% fib extensions. $1303 and $1333 respectively.

I don’t see how the Aussies can continue to raise rates to much more to sustain this climb because it gets more expensive for the Aussie business’s to borrow money.

Perhaps at the confluence of resistance with the AU and resistance with gold we will start to see a pullback. Till then it will all be long positions.

Towards the end of July I caught a nice short with the AU based only on fibs. May catch another soon.
