Indicator/EA help please

Hello there , I would like to write an EA or indicator that detects when the market is over lapping (see attachment) between the bid and ask levels. It must over lap at least 3 times before the alert is given , does anyone have any ideas on how to do this ? It must not give any alert when they do not constantly over lap.

hey xlr8er....... how often do you see that formation...... are you sure the bid and ask are truely overlapping.....

maybe i'm not understanding what your refering to by overlapping......h

Yes this happends quite often with brokers with 1 pip spreads.What I meen by over lapping is that the big and ask prices join in with each other as each tick then jumps 3 pips not just 1 pip...Take a close look at the attachment it will explain it nicely. So we will need somthing like : if market price ticks 3 pips + and then 3 pips minus then send alert or somthing like that im not sure how we can structure it.
