CMSFX... down

I had it running today, then all of a sudden it disconnected. Now I cannot even connect to their website.

Same, all seems to be down...
not ideal with trades open

I have problem to! They have been down for the last 3-4 hrs.

I have been trading with them for over 5 years now. In the last 5 years, this disconnection happened only twice, one in June of this year, now today. Last time this happened, I called and asked them the reason. They told me it was due to heat wave in NY.

Everything is down, since all connections to their servers in NY are down. Should be fixed soon.

This may or may not be related, but I notice their domain name renewal date is July 24th. It shows that it does not expire until 2011, one year from few days ago. It may have expired and they quickly renewed it. This could cause all kinds of bad things to happen until the DNS servers all refresh with current info. Domains are usually not deactivated for a few days after the expiration date. If it did expire then your MT4 terminals and web browsers could not resolve the domain name to an IP address and had no chance at connecting. It could also affect any of their back-end systems that use a host name to identify the other end of a connection.

I have no way of knowing if it was set to expire in 2011 all along and this is nothing. It's one of the first things I usually check when I hear issues of can't connect to a site and in all cases to date it has proven correct.

...but again that does not mean this is the case just a strong indicator.

ok if i lose my money like todey because i just can´t connect to my account what can i do?

call them - support is being super nice on the phone - they understand how much this sucks.

I had an open long on euro this morning that I tried to close, but no response from cms, then it went down and nothing since about 10 am cst. I can understand the trading servers going down for a time, it has happened before. But the entire website too? It almost looked like they closed-up shop.

Nope. They are one of the sounds brokers.

The server glitches only happened twice or three times in the last 5 years.

did anyone receive an alert from them or are you finding this out on your own? thank you

No alerts or signs just disconect account more then 5h ago

Just fyi, I am starting to get the mt4 feed back. It has at least updated the prices but is still a bit intermittent.
