First of all - Alexa cannot measure what goes in the social network - we have servers that are locked to the outside and cannot be accessed by any performance monitoring like Alexa or Compete. So what you are seeing is our marketing site which I have to say I am surprised people are spending any time on it at all since most of what you can do on it is to log into the social network.

Second of all - if you read it very carefully you'd see that Currensee.com has increased site views in the past 3 months by 31% where other sites like FF have increased it by only 12%. - There is clearly a need to move forward from just forums and you don't have to agree with it.

But that's beside the point - like I said a million times - I am not here to recruit anyone or tell you that Currensee in great - just here to answer questions.

They are edge hunters. One of their early press releases' verifies this. The company was found by greedy morons(ie. they have book smarts)/unsuccessful traders who decided to create a website "ie. trading community," so they can aggregate trade data and run their own set of filters to analyze the trades of a profitable trader. (and also intend to SELL this data for a premia to interested parties)

The trade leaders program is a bigger joke. To be "considered" you have to deposit $5,000 minimum and make Currensee your IB. It's mandatory that they take rebates from you for 3-4 months while your trading to "build up your performance to impress them" and if your performance is on par with what they are looking for, you get a ZuluTrade Signal Provider type deal.

I was contacted by them back in November 2009; I found that the "opportunity" they were presenting me was not beneficial to any successful trader--as I was single-handily making more trades a week than their entire community as an aggregate had made since inception.

They just want the rebates.

When I saw you had to trade through their "approved" list of brokers I stopped trying to register. There are other ways to capture trade activity. And besides that, who wants to follow a herd of retail traders anyway? There's a reason why dailyfx publishes aggregated long/short positions of their customers as a contrarian indicator. Most retail traders are noobs and have no idea what they're doing.

How about a social trading site for institutional traders? Can we get access to that? Thought not!

Not sure where you got the data that you had to trade through one of the approved brokers - we support all MT4s and we're the only ones that support real-time streaming from FXCM, OANDA, MBTrading and Forex.com

Even a contrarian indicator is an indicator and what FXCM has done, and OANDA has it as well is great but it's not real time.

noobs or not - there was a research that was published a few years ago about institutional traders and they have the same statistics - 80% of them are losing. Plus there is a network of traders if you are an institutional trader and you have access to a bloomberg terminal you can chat with many traders across the globe.

yep, just what I thought And they claim that 95% of retail traders lose and that 80% of institutional traders lose...LOL, is there a black hole somewhere?

and you don't have to give out any security info and all the extra crap. They are worthless for trading, and trying to piggyback on facebook's popularity, but this is trading, a different population and way more limited. Another dotcom bust in the making.

And I don't see anybody from Dukascopy posting here all over the place...that is another +for Dukascopy, their service is what brings customers not creating controversy to get exposure.

With great respect to the Currensee rep posting here in good faith....

I wish to put on record unequivocally, as a European based proptrader of some years experience, and of running multiple accounts with non US Banks/Brokers, that I believe Currensee is a serious security risk particularly to european and oversees traders, or indeed anyone trading or custodian to serious money either within or outside the US. Unfortunately I am not in a position to justify, discuss or explain my view. So it must be recorded here as just one persons opinion. However I would confirm that this is a view shared many similarly placed industry colleagues.

I'm a member of FF for 4 years, and an occasional visitor and contributor and Ive no grievance or complaint against Currensee per say, my issue is with situ compliance and inherent security issues in their business model.

In general, you are right - any online site that collects personal information is a security risk, it can be your broker, sites like currensee and even forums like this. Each one of these have obviously a different level of exposure and risk associated with them and therefore need different levels of security mechanisms in place.

We chose initially to get regulated and enable an independent body to verify our security procedures and mechanisms as it's probably not going to be sufficient if we were the ones saying that it's ok to trust us.

We have been around for about a year now, passed two regulatory certifications including one very through security audit. We haven't received any complaint to date about our security and it is the most important thing for us.

are you referring to the risk graph?

The X axis is Risk the Y axis is Performance and the dots are the people in the community as you can see they are concentrated on the bottom right - high risk and low performance.

Just this fast post to thanks asafyigal for his patience and its clear honesty, answering to all, included 2 really ridiculous members (wwwin and Rednose) that have post here in this thread repetitively useless and hilarious accusations thinking that only posting more than 1000 posts in this Forum can give to them the right to start to accuse freely and ignorantly other members.

Currensee is becoming a nice reality in Forex trading world, and a NOT scammer reality like this one should be encouraged and welcome.

I will surely take a look to start to invest with them.

Hey Everyone!

First off I'm going to be dead honest. I was #12 employee at Currensee when they first started. These are real honest people, not scam artists. I no longer am with them by the way. The Traderleaders program was an idea I suggested to them based on Covestor. They implemented it. I was a trader for 3 years prior to joining Currensee and I am going to vouch for them. Yes, they are an IB and get rebates, but they have no intentions of ill will or with traders. Think about it. If they were, that wouldn't exactly be good for repeat business. You are their customer. The last thing they would do is screw you over. They would be shooting themselves in the foot. Plus, if that were the case, I wouldn't have joined them back then and would have started screaming scam first chance I got.

They are also partnered with multiple brokers and are regulated by the CFTC and NFA...

Now, this is a very interesting thread. I'm looking to join a social trading network, comparing this one and one other, and accidentally found this thread...made me check currensee out of my list. No matter they're honest or no, the reality is that it is a security risk to give such details to someone else.
