Nanningbob 4h trading system ver. 5.0

4 and 5 digit shouldnt need different EAs. You only need different EAs for 4 and 5 digit when you start using some kind of pip formula in the EA. You have the same EA on I have so I know it works with FXSol. Run a test on the MT4 trade tester to make sure it is working. Make sure you had the #1 and not the #2. #2 the 1MA has to be outside the BB lines to work.

There will be a leftover Typhoon (hurricane) coming over Nanning tomorrow. If I lose power I may not be able to post so I you dont see me tomorrow you know why.

That part is not written yet but I usually wait until late in the day. Most daily candles are full candles so price has a tendency to run in one direction all day. However, I always take profit or put a TS on a profitable trade. NEVER LET A WINNER TURN INTO A LOSER. Some places to take profit though are:
1 Middle of BB
2. Bottom of BB
3. White sto line gets to opposite side of indicator
4. Blue sto Line gets to opposite side of indicator
5. Reread the section talking about the RWB lines. If the White and Blue lines are running tight stay in, if they are not traveling together take the profit. Set a TS and go. The 6th Indicator gives a suggestion of TP based on the next line down. That is in the upper left hand corner.
Best times to take profit are:
1. before the USA open
2. London close
3. End of USA session
4. Before the JPY open.

Dont know what is going on with FXSol but #1 EA has missed several trades for me today. Here is a pic of a missed trade. Is anyone else having this problem?? It also has made some trades too. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........

I still trade a penny on a small IBFX account. ONly on the 4H chart and only on aud/chf and aud/cad I have this spike and cant use my 4H screen. It does not show up on my daily or any other TF only the 4H chart. Very strange. Here is a pic of my 4H chart on these two pairs. Anyone else getting this??

OK I closed my MT4 and reopened it and my charts went back to normal and my EAs started to enter again. So restart your MT4 Toothman and see if that helps.

The #1 Sell EA also missed the Aud/USD trade today so don't know if this is an FX Solutions problem or what. I took your advice and closed platform and reopened it. An AUD/USD trade immediately initiated since price was still above the bol. band. Hmmmmm is right. So do you think we need to reopen the platform every now and then to be sure EA's are going to work? That might get to be a problem. Anyway ,I like the new system and would be up over 150 pips on that GBP/JPY trade if it would have kicked in last night darn it.
P.S.- Haven't noticed my charts( with FX Sol.) looking wacky like in post #67. However, one of my charts on an IBFX demo went wacky last week so this might be an MT4 problem not with FX. Sol.

Maybe you have to restart the platform after you make a change to one of the EA's. I changed the lot size on both the #1 ea's, recompiled but never shut the platform down after that. Maybe that's why the ea's weren't working. Bob, did you recompile and not shut down?

Bob...just finished downloading the files..one problem..the 5.0 final zip doesn't come over as a zip file, it's a PHP file..even downloaded the copy from the attachment (paper clip) file????

Man, I’ve tried so many since I got involved with this very addictive business of Forex trading.

I’ve ventured down many of the trading paths, such as short term and long term trend following systems. Then there’s the thousand of hours staring a computer screens waiting to scalp the 1 min and 5 min charts, anything to try and cut a small profit; that’s been a long road indeed. In this time I am very grateful that, I have managed to not blow my account, and have been able to make small profits, along the way, but nothing to great.

To cut to the point, I am very glad that I stumbled across Nanningbob’s thread; it seems to be a perfect system for me. I am currently trying this out on a demo account, (see attached) just to get use to its nuances and will hopefully trade it on my live account in the not to distant future.

I do realise that demo account trading is not the same as trading a real account, as psychologically, it’s a totally different monster to control, but its showing that this system carries some serious potential possibilities for me.

I work full time, 3 shifts in fact, so scalping is not really for me, “took me along time to just realize that fact”. I gradually work around the clock over a three-week period, and its not always easy to check my trades to frequently. I do manage to check 26 currency charts on a regular basis though, with the use of a small notebook which I hide and run from my locker at work, and with the aid of a mobile internet connection can check my charts every 4 hours or so, and find this is manageable.

I don’t like taking big risks with my trading, I like high probability low risk trading entries, that give reasonable returns, and for me this is one of the reasons I like Nanningbobs trading system.

I use to believe that trading with indicators was a waste of time, and price is all that matters, but this is so wrong, the way this system works absolutely rocks, with its combination of indicators and EA’s and how they all compliment each other to give very clear and consistent trading signals and control of entry is just brilliant, and in a way with respect, quite simple.

I never realised trading against a trend would be so successful.

I can’t believe how there could be 41 votes on the other thread saying what a waste of time; there trading methods must be better than this, I find that very, very hard to believe, or they must not like putting in the hard work, wanting to be hand fed, or simply st…d.

Someone suggested using a different browser window like Google Chrome. I use Flock all the time and never had any problems with the download. If that doesnt work, send me a message FF with your email and I will email you the package.

Like you I love trading Forex but because of my job, (administrator for a school) I didn’t have time to sit and wait for the right trade to come along. Some days I am not home for more than 10 hours so I needed to develop something that fit my schedule. Over the years this is what has developed. It would be nice if I could claim credit for all of this but this was developed by many traders and their suggestions over the years. People had to teach me so I could learn. I don’t know who it was but someone taught me how to put two indicators together into one indicator which led to the RWB indicator I use now. Without that person this system never would have developed. People had to teach me how to program EAs and make changes in them because I could not be home to enter many of the trades I wanted. I once suggested I want something that divided the screen into equal parts. Toothman started a thread to finding out how to do that and MagnumFreak wrote an indicator. Without them and many others like them, this would not exist. So anyway long story, hopefully many happy endings.

Yes but that has not caused any problems before like this. We will see if it happens again. Like this IBFX thing on two currencies and the 4H chart. Very strange that I cant get it working on those two pairs. I do remember having problems after an update but I dont remember any update coming down recently. Maybe someone will tell us. That GBP/JPY was a nice trade you missed there.

Dang if that GBP/JPY didnt go all the way down and hit the lower BB, then made a nice move back up. I used the #3 EA and picked up 60 some pips but the #1 EA would have been over 100. Did have two trades on it but I only reported one of them. USD/JPY nice move but it hit my Trailing stop I had put on to protect my profit.

Lots and lots of potential trades today. Looking good. The European news story is this weekend so you may not want to be carrying a lot of trades over the weekend. I wouldnot want to be playing any buys with that pair right now. I doubt very much there will be lots of good news coming in that report unless they want to hide things.

I hope to finish my currency volatility report today. One of the changes for me will be the dropping of some NZD pairs because of their high spreads with FXSol. I will be adding GBP/AUD and NZD/CAD though.

I am going to divide currencies into 4 groupings. Slow, medium, moderate volitility, extreme volitility. 2nd level reentry numbers are suggestions.

SLOW CURRENCY GROUP: 150 reentry

AUD/NZD, CHF/JPY, EUR/GBP, EUR/CHF, NZD/USD, USD/JPY, USD/SGD, USD/HKD

MEDIUM GROUP: 150-200 reentry

AUD/CAD, AUD/USD, EUR/CAD, EUR/USD, NZD/JPY, NZD/CHF, USD/CAD,

MODERATE VOLATILE GROUP. 200 reentry

AUD/CHF, AUD/JPY, EUR/AUD, EUR/JPY, GBP/USD, USD/CHF

VOLATILE (USE WITH CAUTION OR GO 250 OR 300 ON THE REENTRIES. 200+ reentry

If you want practice with the 2.4.2 recovery system use the GBP/NZD. I have been using 300 pip reentries with the gbp/nzd successfully

Does anyone out there have a simple RENKO indicator and an article on how it works. It has caught my attention as a possible use for the TP section. There is so much on it here at FF I just want a basic indi and article explaining its basics. I dont want to download 20 different ones to find out which one may or may not even work with my system.

Not sure if this is good enough, but here is what I have used, see attached.

Load the EA up on a chart, then, go to offline charts, and open up the 1M chart that corresponds. Or, maybe it will tell you 2M or 3M.

Pretty simple. I don't know if you could incorporate it into an existing chart etc. or how that would work. Renko is pretty simple concept though and coding that in should be a breeze for the likes of S. Hopwood, etc...

Hi Nanningbob - thanks for your system. I took this trade manually. The lines are bunched under the 15 line and price is outside lower gold 6th line. Also at previous resistance. Would you say that is a good trade according to your system? Thanks for sharing.
