I put up a quick analysis of USD/CHF on M30 at the SMART Trader posterous site.

Sound alerts are done and being tested now, as is the spinning rowboat module (you can see it in action on the above posted chart)

We are still trying to resolve issues with the billing systems and the new leasing option. Thanks to everyone for their patience.

It looks like it may be the MML indicator in the resources section of the first post of this thread. It was made by Grath and is an excellent companion to VSA for targets.

I use mml and daily pivot indicator.

I referred the green dotted lines on right side.that is ibfx daily pivot indicator

You marked no.4 as weakness on our SMART USDCHF M30 chart. I thought Effort to Rise with out excessive volume is a strength - this bar has below average volume. can you please clarify ?

I think I would have to agree with you there. Effort to rise through resistance is strength not weakness.

i see some blue/green squarish dots , can i know what are they?

i noticed some texts at the top left of your chart, stating "Average Week range .... Main move of the day is down" can i know what is this indicator? does it come with SMART?

there are a lot of small rectangles at the top right, in pink, red, green... colors, can i know what are those for? do they come with SMART too?

Yes this is correct but the #4 was preceded by a UT (Red - Weakness) and there was weekness in the bg on the range scanner so even though volume was not excessively high there was weakness over all.
That's the way I saw it.

the texts at the top left is range indicator.the author is labais

the others come with SMART.sow module and bg scanner

OK things are going to steamroll again now that the billing issues are worked out.

1. Audio alerts are done and should roll out this evening (Check your chart for update notification) Let us know via a ticket if they are giving you an issue. The alerts as with everything can be turned off globally or by individual modules. You can also use custom sounds if you wish. Custom alerts by chart will also be available soon too but for now we are starting with a general set.

If you prefer a male voice let me know and if we get enough requests we can do those too. (I am making a custom Darth Vader set for me LOL)

The spinning rowboat module is done as is The Dynamic Balance Point Line Module HG (HiddenGap) posted about. Some people asked for it. I'm not sure how useful it will be but it's in there. As with any of the indicators that are not specifically VSA please use caution.

We have a number of announcements coming soon regarding updates/news and as always if you have any questions come join us in the chat.

Err .. excuse me ...

i do not know how relevant this piece of info is applicable here but something i just learned today ....

perhaps this thread is already aware of this and may have a solution for reading the actual volume live but thought i share this and get a better view of the subject of using volume as a indicator in reading the charts :


the actual volume in Forex is only known 48 hours later ... according to the videos on tips and tricks in MT4

furthermore , what we see as volume on MT4 is just the number of ticks that had changed for the period in time ... is a count of how many times the price changed for that period time .... what does this means ?

Are probably some others that can answer this better, but to my knowledge tick volume is ALL that's ever available in forex. Where would we be able to see "actual volume" anyway? Not trying to be a smart aleck, but if that is available somewhere I'd genuinely love to take a look.

"Master the Markets" (the authoritative book on VSA), specifically states that tick volume is fine for markets where that is all that's available, like forex. And I can tell you it works. I'm still a novice with this, but even I've been able to turn a decent profit using simple MT4 tick volume, which is "live"...
