lol whatever makes the equity curve rise... Wonder how many traders are sitting there considering the old nip and tuck right nowIgnored
DislikedSo I start a thread in mid-2009, nobody answers, and then over a year later, in one day we have two pages of posts.
To the poster above me: In opening this thread I was hoping to find if there was any relation between trading success and education/professional backgrounds. Does wondering about that mean that I wont ever make any money trading? Use your head man.Ignored
DislikedI think the poster above you is me...
Anyway, traders when do their job have to ask themselves a lot of questions, but if one of this question is "What kind of preson can trade?" it's better they save time and money doing something else.Ignored
DislikedI'm not currently a trader doing my job... so by your logic I'm free to ask whatever questions I wish at the moment.
Is it so wrong for an aspiring trader to want to know what skills successful traders have brought to the table which have enabled them to do well? The answer is NO imo.
I get the feeling you're up for some back and forth arguement... so I'll tell you now that I have not got the time.Ignored

DislikedThe charts are just one long, continuous jazz improvisation - and just as a good improvisor can lead the music from one climax to the next in a fairly predictable manner, with an occasional twist, so the charts move.Ignored
DislikedYou know what? you're right. 2k+ posts leave you so much time to trade.
What kind of person can trade? the one who doesn't lose its time posting.
But it's my bad jumping in stupid threads.Ignored

DislikedWhenever I stumble across your posts it always seems that you are in some sort of scuffle with someone only this time I don't think you started it. And what do you mean aspiring trader? Are you not trading a real account yet?Ignored
DislikedI don't start 'scuffles', and I don't consider having a live account the only condition for classification as a 'real trader'. I'm an aspiring trader because I don't make a living or any kind of reasonable income from trading... in my mind there is no difference between a person who uses a demo account and one who uses a small live account.
Round-up: No, I don't trade on a large live account, but I hope to, so I'm therefore an aspiring trader.
PS. I quite like your posts... you seem to have a handle on the currency markets.Ignored
DislikedPersonally, I would prefer an educated person if I was hiring traders. Because, at least, they have demonstrated that they can start something and then finish it (i.e. earn a degree). It also means that this person is probably much more dependable than most.Ignored
DislikedDon't you remember when we met on FF originally? I don't think you liked my posts back then. Maybe because I didn't have any v's to impress you with
And I'd have to disagree and say that there is a difference (to me) between someone who uses a demo account and one who uses a small account. I think it's called psychology
Anyway, keep plodding along with the market. I'm not planning to get super rich from this, but maybe you willIgnored
