I like the way you determine the trend for day to day trading.

I want to know when you stop enter a trade before the new releases ( 30 min or 1 hour before the new releases).

Dear TEB,

It is one of the best threads I came along. I think most value is in consistency, not trying any fancy tune ups and such, this way destroying system.
In any case my question would be following.
Is the EUR/USD the only pair where you have 10pip SL, except when you choose 20pip SL?
Is it always you keep TP and SL 1:1?
And which pairs you use 20pip SL and TP always? Is it volatile GBP/USD or EUR/JPY.
I know by time I would choose best setup myself, but before that just would like to have your profesional input.

Hello TEB,

One more question, to you hope you can help me out.
Lets say 7a.m. EST (New your time) I open up a chert of 30 min with indicators which should be there and see that EMA's are crossed for a while, price is above or below EMAs depending on it, and RSI is above 50, say this is valid for 20 bars. Do I look to 5 min chart to trade this as trend, or it is best once crossover happens either in EMAS or RSI?
Somehow it is hard to figure this, or should I scan higher TF to make assumtion of trend?

If im planning to apply this system on a monthly, weekly and daily(entry) time frame, what ema is the best? will ema 5 and ema 12 be good?

I want to add my thanks to Teb for posting this strategy - it ain't hard and I make money when I follow the rules. Indicator haters will throw out their reasons as to why indies don't work but indicator do do something - they indicate even if a little late (and not by much in the shorter time frames.) I am glad that it has been pointed that one shouldn't ignore S/R, candlestick patterns, PA, etc., which helps me stay out of bad trades.

I confess I like the 1/2 out at +10 pips, move to BE+1, & let the rest run. I even feel a bit smug that I have beaten the market at its own game. I always felt that scaling in made more sense but I never got the hang of doing that properly or profitably. Thanks to everyone for sharing your tips and suggestions. Good trading all, p.
