Today only 1 trade: +40 pips. Tomorrow, after London Session, I´ll explain my opinion about the system, .....

Good trade on euro/jpy 1H long sadly I just missed the trade so I have not taken it it but had I been at my desk about 20 mins ago would have taken the trade so will post as this is for testing purposes only.


Entry: 112.49
stop: 112.00
Tp1: 112.76 - Hit

Stop would have been moved to BE, final target 113.10.

as you can can see in a larger picture. this is the 3 touch in the support trendline and also there is a hidden divergence whit the macd that confirms there is allready potential to go up.

this isn´t the system, but we are here to trade and make money and looking at trendlines, divergences, s&r levels, fibos, etc. we can filter many wrong signals.

No signals for new trades according to changing colour in 2 MA´s.....

Just an update on a trade that I posted on long Euro/jpy on 1H final target of 113.10 got reached stop was at entry @ 112.49 price came down to 112.50 than shot back up so just survived, if you notice I did'nt actually take the trade bcz I was around 20 mins late but I monitored the trade for test purpose and the trade did work out.

intresting will u all post your result with your systems today so we see the one that is best ?

finally closed GU +100

sell GU and GJ and close both because news in 1/2 hour.
gu at be and gj +90.

wasn't around for this trade but it's very clear to see on chart.

nice clear buy entry at .2924 (even though i would have probably got in earlier at around .2912 on price crossing large MA). After price crosses yesterdays high it's onto the 'reversal line' at .3000 to sell. (even now it's clearly reversed of this line, down 18 at this moment)

again not around for trade but very clear

GU sell at .5417. exit either at stoch crossover at .5370 (+47) or when PA retraced back through 'reversal line at .5379 (+38)

Again problems with internet,

GU sell 11h30: 1.5381 because 2 MA´s changed color, still open, +50 pips, let´s see...

The sell mentioned above from the 'reverse line' at .3000 (yellow writing,blue dotted line) would have netted about 65pips if we us todays open price (green dotted line) as an exit.
From the two trades in the pic they would have netted 140pips. Now whether it would have went that way trading live is another question.

well, no more trades today, and whit the +190 pips today there is a total of the week of +80. it should be more if i was taken all the signals. but...(murphy´s law, every time you don,t take a signal, the signal not taken is always good)

my feeling of the system is that there are 1 useless indicators, golden finger, who many times paint the signal 3 or 4 for candles later.

the macd all we know his crosses of zero levels, divergencies, etc.

the golden varitey is a mix of a lot of indicators, the arrows shows the cross of 2 moving averages and the others are a mix of rsi, momentun,macd,demaker,adx and force index.

if all the indicators are agree, usually is a good entry point and you can trust in this, but there isn´t a exit strategie( sorry there is one,a discretion of the trader or a trailing stop, for me is the same, no strategie)and if you wait for a complete reverse signal, always loose a lot of pips and the stop loss recomended i think that they are too large.

in ranging markets (wednesday) is totally looser, as you can see in all my post, but is good when he catch a good trend.

to minimize or filter looser trades i recomend to see always the trend in upper time frames and look for breakouts of recent levels.

really, this system can help you to trade a litle better and i´m going to add the varitey indicator to my chart, but the only who makes the system bad, or good, is the trader.

Close GU + 80 pips. Total week: 210 pips.
Results for me is not important, in demo account is very different from live account.
Anyway, about the system:
- Stoch: a standard stoch, only valid for me for quick exits, nothing more, ..
- XB4ind: just like a MACD
- Reversal/Breakout Lines: as I say, the same information in 2 MA´s, a bit early.
- 2 MA´s: not cross but when both change color at the same time is the best signal for me for this system...

So I found this system good only by 2 MA´s, but like a MA, a lagging indicator.

I recomend this system: I don´t think so.
Anyway, I think Kraven it´s a very good idea to test systems for a week, congratulations

Total for the week was +280. I didn't trade today but i clearly seen and posted 3 trades (extra +180). however, 2 of these were in hindsight, and we'd all be wealthy if we could get them.

I find with X4 system the colour change on the MA indi's the best entry indi, I realise they are just MA's but with the colour change in the MA lines if both are matching allows for early entries before crossover occurs and re-entries. (will use again as i like MA's)

I also like the background info lines it draws with open, yesterdays high, breakout, entry and reversal points.(will use again, i found it very useful)

the stoch indi is good for exits (this is only if you want 20 pips, or want to go in and out of the market) what i like about this one is it tells you 'buy', 'sell', 'overbought' etc...

The XB4indi as Calliou states is just MACD.

I would use this system again and will keep it in my templates folder to come back to one day..

I'd like to thank all the tester for their reviews (kdx and terminex if you can give a quick final review that would be great) for their time and effort. hopefully, even if you wouldn't use your system again, you may be able to adapt it or take indi's. check you P.M's later

caillo and kraven i think your system sounds good what was whrong with it was thouse 200 pips just luck u think maybe next week u loose with the system or why dont u consider it good ?

HI Guys, sorry for my delayed summary busy day for me yesterday. Ok I want to firstly briefly go over the trades I posted than review this method.

Ok the first trade I posted was on 12th of July, post no: 25
I stated in the post that this was an e.g. on what a trade looks like on M15

The trade netted 35+ pips the profits were taken at two stages.

Next trade, post 33-35 12th July again was on same day in fact almost immediately after the first trade, this time it was on 1H again Gbp/usd, all conditions were met and +49 pips were taken on first part of trade, stop moved to BE I did post if price got in the 1.5090 area I will close the trade, price reached 1.5086 looking back I'm not sure why I didn’t close this trade as price went all the way back down and stopped me out at BE, maybe a lesson to learn for the future.

The next setup I posted was for Euro/Usd again 12th July post 41 and 43
This trade should have been taken as two doji's formed and other criteria was in place, but hey we are testing and we learn from our mistakes this trade would have made some nice pips.

Next Setup amazingly again on 12th July post 54, banked +36 pips moved stop to BE than got stopped out.

Amazingly the next live trade setup I posted was on the 15th July, post 163. This trade got to within a few pips of target than news just tanked the trade south and got stopped out however did move stop to BE again another lesson to perhaps close most of the trade before major impact news.

Next trade 16th July - post 183, although I was actually a little late on the trade I posted it as we are testing a system on demo, trade netted +61 pips.

Total pips for the week through the trades I identified was +181, one can argue maybe one will not a take a trade two times in different time frames that’s my 1st trade, but also one can argue that nobody would let around 80 pips go when in profit so maybe move stop up or close trade a little earlier if trade has taken a very long time that’s all for each individual. More than the pips made there was not one single loosing trade I posted all week which is promising, yes quite a few setups were closed at BE but most would be happy with that than to loose on a trade, off course this is not always going to happen as in trading we should always expect we will loose at some stage.

Ok now the review, this system is a 100% manual system therefore you have to wait until a trade identifies itself you need to be very patient and also have a good eye, bcz some of the trades have extra weight when you apply divergence to the setup. The system is very easy to follow maybe easier for me bcz I trade in a similar fashion. I would say however discretion is required a lot when using this system I note a trade that I posted where all conditions were ok except for the candle formation, this is where one needs to have to apply a little more knowledge than what the system teaches.

Last point on the system that I want to make is that of MM (i’m sure everyone knows what this is ) an e.g. if one were to take a trade and risk approx 60 pips and trade 1 standard lot, 1st profit target around 40-60 pips than close half trade move stop to BE and on final part look for another 40-50 pips total profit around 100-10 pips but have risked 60 pips on full standard lot, this doesn’t make much sense bcz if win ratio for a trader is around 50% than why not take more profit after 50- 60 pips bcz when you do the maths you would not make much more when you get to around 100 pips bcz you would have made 100 pips on half a standard lot. Reason I say this is trades are taken based on Bollinger Bands and if somebody were to look, the distance between lower BB and middle line and middle line and upper BB line most of the time is fairly similar. So I feel if u know that potentially there is 100 pips from lower BB to Upper BB and middle line is around 60 pips away I will close more of my position based on how much I risked.

Overall not a bad system at all, trades can take a long time to develop, especially if u trade on 4H, in fairness you need some kind of alert system to trade of that timeframe as how will you know when exactly a trade develops, in fact it’s not very frequent for trades to develop on 1H, however the good point of the system is when the trades do develop if you take a good A+ setup you will have a lot of probability on your side especially if it’s in the direction of trend, so overall it’s a good system that I do recommend but I feel one has to tailor it quite a bit for it to be more effective.

Lastly to Kraven this was a great thread and good idea, after all we are here to try to make money so if we can review, test new strategies than its good for all so well done to you for this thread, would be happy to participate again.
