if we have real upthrust, and if we wait for a down move, then, is it probable to pass the high of upthrust before fall ?

If you ask me I still think there's strength in the background.. I may be wrong though and others may think otherwise.. But from your chart, and checking on mine, I see squats. As a result of this I am overlooking the ND bars for now.

My bias is still to the long side unless I see good climatic action and then the next bar is up on narrow spread and low volume (with a higher high but not a lower low- thanks to HG, saved me a lot of bad trades)

Polomine this is an interesting little piece.... not too hard on CPU.

I was wondering what those xxxxxx's are for. I see/noticed that you have 6 columns for each row. You also mentioned that it has alerts for 4 time frames but I see 5 time frames on the chart. A better description would be highly appreciated.

Thanks for all the replies to my query. I was hoping for more, but maybe some of you knew where I was going and decided not to spoil my thunder.

Unfortunately the market was up yesterday which may take some of the shine off my answer.

To answer the question, let's first start by taking a look at the chart on the left. This is a 5 minute Euro chart.

We can see the best place to get long is marked in black. Why is this the best place to get long?

1. Strength in the background.
a. Ultra Wide Spread down candle on climatic volume closing off its low with the next candle up.
b. Stopping Volume.

2. A Change in trend as defined by price moving above the Balance Point Line.

3. Low volume (No Supply) on the correct side of the BPL.

4. While not necessary, the BPL is blue.

So the basic idea here is strength followed by a change in trend and then a sign of strength in the form of No Supply/Test. Once the trend is determined, then we look for a low volume candle in the opposite direction to enter. We want to buy on down bars and sell on up bars.

Now let's move to the daily. The answer to the question is this. YES it is a valid entry. The validity of the entry is not dependant on the outcome of the trade. Validity is determined by rather one follows his rule set to enter the trade.

So do we have strength in the background? Yes. We see a Wide Range down candle on volume less than the previous two candles. This is No Selling Pressure. The next candle is a narrow range down candle closing near the middle of its range on increased volume. This is a transfer of ownership type candle (squat).

Do we have a trend change? Yes. Price moves above the BPL. The direction of the BPL changes and it changes color.

Do we have a low volume signal in the opposite direction of the trend? Yes we have a No Supply that immediately follows a No Demand. Let's talk about the No Demand for a second. It is clearly out of place. It is indeed a polar bear in Hawaii. Why? Because we are above the BPL with strength in the background. We wan to ignore this. This is a candle in isolation. From the start of what was the best thread on the internet, Mal has preached background. Only looking at the "No Demand" is to ignore all that came before it.

There are those that trade lower timeframes based on the direction of the daily chart. The 5 minute trade would be such a trade IF you determine that the trend on the daily is up. But if you make that determination, then you must also be willing to take the low volume (No Supply) as an entry on this timeframe itself.

  1. 6 columns stands for 6 latest bars.
  2. 'C' stands for climax high, climax low (bv 1.4 term, doesn't mean low vol but climax vol down bar), chimaxchurn bars
  3. 'H' stands for highchurn bars
  4. 'L' stands for lowest vol bars
  5. 'x' stands for other bars except 'C', 'H' and 'L', that is, neutral vol bars

maybe in future version 2.0, it should display these vol bars by colorful arrows, need more time & efforts. (If somebody could help, that's very appreciated)

  1. since I don't think 4h alert is highly useful, I omitted that one purposely.

Can an expert please define absorption volume, and what the clues are on the chart that something is absorption and that it is not going to push through resistance (or support)?

Man oh man I missed yesterday's nice price action. I blame it on the stupid hot weather of course Is Euro/USD looking a bit weak today or is it just me? It was knocked sideways after high volume. Although price hasn't dropped yet, mentally I'm ready for a down move. What do you guys think? Although there's not much evidence supporting a down move right now...

I have mentioned before that I do not like No demands that make lower lows and not higher highs (selling bars (4)). The reason is if the market closes higher the No demand is not confirmed and it is more likely that it is a hidden test. If the next candle does close down it is really more of a failed hidden test, but we still say...

when you mentioned higher-high, do you mean the top (body) of the candle is higher than the previous top (body) of the candle?

It was mentioned somewhere that no supply is the opposite of no demand, but a test is Not the opposite of no demand.. but doesn't a typical test just look exactly like a no supply bar? ... Is the no supply bar suppose to be at within the level as the stopping volume whereas a test can also be spotted when price already on an uptrend?

At the end of a downtrend where we see strength in the downbars and IF the professional money is active, are we suppose to Always see the following bars: stopping volume followed by no supply bars and test bars (sometimes bag holding/shakeouts)? becoz most times i do not seem able to spot all the 3 bars and the price still went up anyway, but i figured if the professional $ is really at work, they would make the 3 bars appear at somepoint at the bottom of the chart to path way for their own safe entry, won't they?... am I wrong? pls advise... thanks!

hi intel, does tt mean if 1 hr 30min are downtrend, and daily trend is up, u will still go long if 15min shows signs of strength?
