I dont increase my lots to six unless I have the Equity to do so. So I stay 2,4,2,4,2,4,2 I also dont reenter every 50 but around 200. 150 on the slower ones and I have been experimenting with the gbp/nzd at 400 on a reentry. So 50 seems way to small for me but I have never tried it. In theory it would work but you would be taking more losses even though they would be smaller. I would be interested in knowing if you kept your account increasing doing that. More smaller losses but still have account increase overall. Interesting concept. But you do portray the idea correctly. You must remember though that I trade my 4H system live and that has a much wider range than this system. So let us know how that works out.

Do you mean that even if levels are 50 pips away, I should wait for 200 pips move before I reenter?

HI

That is exactly what he means. For volatile pairs 200 and less volatile 150 and more volatile 250 to 400 pips. the choice of 50 pips in H4 is very very low since often during one candle you have spread of over 50 pips.

Just to confirm, as soon as Level 3 is opened, I will close Level 1. Is that correct? Then open Level 4 200 pips away from Level 3.

I believe that is how it works yes, with the ea you have to be careful though that you don't leave it on or it will close all orders when you close the first.

The 2.4.2 system is really not meant to work with smaller distances. It was designed for my 4H system where we enter and if price goes against me 200 pips then I go to the 2nd level. With this I was willing to go the first two levels but then reverted to 200 pips distance after that and slightly higher lot size reentry. So your first level maybe 100 pips from the 2nd but after that I go much wider. The more room you give yourself the less stress you have in trading. :0

Where can i find explanation of the input settings for this EA??
What they mean. What they do. Why would i change. What does it screw up if i change. What do the little colored tabs at left mean.
Is there a tutorial for most EAs?

You should probably go back and read the last 200 posts or so.

That would explain some. However, most of the settings do require 'experience' w/ forex to understand how they can affect you!

Page 1 Post 1 is the original booklets for the 60x90 and 180x100 systems. Read those first. That will give you the foundation for everything being posted around here with all the variations. Then there are 22 notes for your study to keep you up to speed. The 6ths EA is just another variation of the 60x90. If you want an in depth philosophy of my trading style you need to read page 1 post 1 documentation and then the rest of the thread may make sense to you.

dear Nanningbob;
on your 4h sixth EA using the zoom(-/+) tool from the tool bar and will change the values of the A lines. do we have to use the default setting of template or else?

The sixths screen indi spilts the screen into 6 equal parts. That is why the values change when you zoom in or out.

Bob usually sets up his screen so that he can see 4 weeks worth of price action on his chart. This gives you a good idea of the price range that the pair is likely to be in.

Is anyone successfully using this on MT4? I used to use this back when IBFX was 4 digits, but now I've got smiley faces, but it never enters any trades. Live trading is enabled.

when you look in the expert tab do you see any messages? Sometimes when you run a bot on a 5 digit broker you need to add an extra 0 to some input values. Do try this on demo first to see if it works. You don't want to have silly inputs on your live account.

I'm not getting any error messages in my expert area. It just says the EA's were initiated. I will try adding the 0's. Any particular input values I should add that too?
