Well said, another view on this long trade.

If we spotted this price pattern, if your are in short, close it at once; if no trade, long long long

Edit: add one more chart on H4, same conclusion

If you haven't already watched the "Floored" documentary, you might be interested in this interesting look at a handful of eccentric pit traders attempting the difficult transition to online trading.

Floored - The Documentary

Watch episode 0 to 8.

Episode 6 on, really highlights the fact that successful pit traders have not necessarily transitioned to become successful online traders.

Hi,
am on demo, working on method. Figured this pic, thought the 15'/1H/4Hers may get something from it. Am TL-and-pattern also.

Thank you.

To me, price makes logarithmic curves and midlines. These forms can be small and subtle, as in a smaller TF's adjusting the placement of a TL, or big and obvious, as in a geometric shape (that is made of one or more logr's and mid-'s) being surrounded and/or imbued with a group of TL's.
The beige shapes on the right are only to highlight a couple of logarithmic curves, in the making of the nearby TL's.

The triangle on top, made on the 15' TF, forms a point on the left, and a TL from that point here goes to help the older TL's determine the next price past the right. The older TL's were made on the 1H and 4H TF's.

A midline is a line segment with a dot in the middle of it. I drew a short green line segment from the dot of the midline on the right of the picture, where I think, based on the TL's I drew on this picture and the accompanying slideshow in the link below the picture, price will surround the green line (if made into a ray) in some way over the next undetermined number of 15' bars.

It's not a complete prediction, as price could easily drop to the lower, older TL, which is what I though first. I skipped a thorough study for a trade (on the 1' TF.) I'm still working on what method to trade on within the TL-and-pattern spectrum, so I was reticent to go further than the observation I posted.

Red,

I don't normally watch this pair but the chart you posted Friday painted a very nice potential set-up.

I entered at 86.35 early this morning. Let's see how it works out.

In my view, we've seen a fake-break of GU (up to 1.52) prior to a sell off...

Friday's cable sell-off played out nicely. See chart on the left.

Looking at the 3rd target, let's see whether there is still an imbalance of demand over supply at this zone. See today's chart on the right.

Note that buy orders have been filled there recently on 3 occasions already. But on the last occasion we saw a very strong move up.

Look at the rejection we are seeing below of the USD from the white demand zone, which had previously been a clear supply zone.

It's my view that they are attempting to trigger even more stops before GB news comes out in 30 mins and the move continues on it's way.

Hope you had a good weekend.

Minor pullbacks and 'potential' 15 min pins taking shape on many pairs, prior to news in 3 mins - including the dollar index shown in earlier post.

i still need more confidence
the first long before market open could have been a big runner, i closed it with 4 pips cause keltner channel was still pointing south
i missed 1.0600 cause of breakfast and played the retrace 1.0650 with 16 pips profit.
But 20 pips for the morning session is not bad for me
