Well, at least we have something in common....they don't like the CFTC lol. Just when I was beginning to like them, they block me out.

No one is blocking you - this error occurs when you try to register and you are already logged into currensee because you started the registration in a different window - you can either log in and get back to where you left off or logout by clicking on that link and you wont get the error again - https://app.currensee.com/forexpert/...ecurity_logout

Fair enough - first of all no one is blocking you you cal try and log in with the email you started the registration or logout using the following link (https://app.currensee.com/forexpert/...ecurity_logout) The error you are getting is indicating that you have a working session with Currensee and you try to start a new one.

As for the EA - what is does is send over account information upon initiation and every 24 hours, the account information is the base currency, money in the account and any deposits or withdraws made during the day.

The EA also transmits in real time every position you have, including SL, TP and any change you make to these positions is automatically being transmitted to Currensee as long as the EA is running.

OK, fair enough. I am going to take your word at face value. If all the company needs is the trades, why does the company also want the account balance?

Also, somebody has told me that the EA is installed thru an .exe file, does this mean that an .exe file is used just for set up and it installs just the Mql4 file in the experts, or does it mean that the EA has to communicate with a DLL to be able to work. Are you offering the MQL4 code, or the code for the whole thing? Thanks.

The account balance is being used to calculate profitability - we calculate the gain by dividing the gain over the account balance and we track all deposits and withdrawals and make sure to account for these when calculating performance. We also record the base currency in the account because we calculate the open P&L in any given point of time to show true performance and to calculate the open P&L of the crosses we need the base currency to make the conversion.

The EA is a combination of MQL and a DLL that communicates with our servers - I believe the best thing to do is to get you in touch with the person in Currensee that developed the EA and the DLL and he can take you through the code and answer any question or concern you may have.

For the sake of transparency and open discussion - the regulation that will undermine our ability to offer a fair service to traders is the one regarding the guaranteed IB which means that an IB can only work with one broker in the US - this will have no effect on the social network as it's free and we don't request anyone to be under our IB but for the auto trading service we're developing it will mean that we can only offer it with one broker in the US and this means that the trader will have no choices - it does not affect us in any way other than the ability to offer only one choice to traders.

One other thing you should know - we are all for the NFA and CFTC, we meet with them regularly to educate them about the market as their current perception is that the market has only scammers and losers - they, unfortunately uncover a new scam almost on a weekly basis and have the opinion that the retail traders are incompetent and they all lose money - We at Currensee know that this is not the case and we make sure to do our best to change the perception of the CFTC and NFA and assure them that there are decent business people working in Forex and that there are plenty of retail traders that make a decent living from trading.

Ok, thank you for answering all the questions. I am not proficient in DLL creation, so if it involves more than MQL code, I would not be able to know what it is doing. Perhaps somebody with that knowledge wants to take a look at the executable?
Somebody has PM me that bitdefender says that the executable contains 32 files, seems odd for a simple EA, but I don't have the knowledge to know what those files are doing other than the MQL file. Somebody uploaded the EA to a download site, I was wondering if it was OK with you to post the link here to see if somebody wants to take it further?

Also, to be fair, MBtrading emailed back saying that they are affiliated with currensee and that they have not heard anything bad so far.

Now you got to understand that Forex.com was using the Virtual Dealer Plug in, and other nasty things, and this came out less than a week ago. Also Facebook was found to be selling personal data

I am not saying that this are your plans, but combining giving out fx acct#s and PWs and social networking on the surface appears ripe for abuse, based on the history of the FX scams and social networking sites, and that is why I was being inquisitive.

Lastly, it did not help your cause coming here with a condescending attitude and implying that FF members only talk, are not profitable, and that real traders are only at currensee.

MBT has been one of our first partners, we have great relationship with them and I think they stand out in this market by being a fain and honest company.

As oppose to FB we are a regulated entity and we have a lot to lose if we betray the trust of our members.

Well - I admit I might have been a little harsh on the people here - I used to be a member of FF long time ago when I was still dreaming of becoming a successful trader (under a different name) and I have to admit that I found FF to be a hostile and the most unfriendly forex forum that exists. I was basically bullied here by a group of people that they all vouched for each other and by talking to other traders from here that join Currensee I get the same impression from them. I did find that places like FxStreet and Trade2win were much better forums and sites then ForexFactory - but that's just my professional opinion.

You also have to understand that this whole thread started by accusing Currensee of being a dangerous place, accusing us of selling information to the brokers, accusing us for making money off the back of the traders and all of this was at the end proven to be wrong.

Having said that, none of what I said was meant to be personal and I apologize if I have offended anyone.

Lastly if you'd like to get into Currensee without a broker account send me the email address that you have used when you registered and I will let you in manually.

Apparently we have a bug on that page - this is BTW a static page that our marketing folks insisted would give some traders a view of who is in Currensee - all the people there are real but there seem to be a bug in the dates - I'll have someone take a look at it but I doubt we'll change it at this point as we're working on a new website that will also include the Trade Leader program.

BTW - Thanks for bumping this thread up - it seems like since we started the discussion and especialy since wwwin has done the investigative work and contacted the brokers that vouched for Currensee we have been getting a major increase of members that claim they heard about us on ForexFactory and I was afraid it would be self serving if I bumped the thread. So from all of us here at Currensee - Thank you.
