It's funny that they get watered down over here, when we have Everclear, which most Europeans couldn't handle. It's essentially a grain alcohol that comes in at 90%. (Can be used as a race fuel actually.) Clean moonshine for the most part. But a beer that is 11% is a problem. Go figure.
I think beer tastes best at around 5%. The strongest beer you can buy in Sweden is ~10%. But I know there is a Scottish beer, "Sink the Bismarck!", which is 41%. Probably tastes like windscreen washer fluid

EURUSD has been very quite today. Looking at the 1H chart, would this qualify as a H&S pattern?

Well, I just did my month end numbers, and last month was 'interesting'.

Last month I made more winning trades than losing trades for the first time since starting this method 3 months ago.

The interesting part is that I ended the month down with - 8% equity.

I made 17 trades. ( 17 trades closed, some of which were opened in June)
9 - winners or BE
8 - losers

8 additional orders were never even filled.

The 8 losers accounted for - 13% equity.
The 9 winners accounted for + 6% equity.

It is obvious when looking at the charts that once the market started to consolidate many of my trades went BE. So it may be time to switch to a box trading strat with some TP's.

I think it is interesting to note that there were 8 additional orders that were never even filled. If I had used a direct entry strategy instead of a pending order strategy I would have 8 additional losses for the month.

Overall I am happy. My trading has improved greatly with the help of the posters on this thread. I am constantly learning and honing my trading. I am looking forward to a profitable July.

I have to agree, I have been kind of thinking this for a minute now. I think we are going to see consolidation for a while, probably the summer. That isn't all that uncommon.

You may find you are more suited for "box trading" as well. I know some people are. Look around and see if you notice something that looks good. I know GBP/CHF has been a good one the last several months for this kind of trading....

HA HA! Great name for a Scottish beer. Looks like I better get Maggioz to sneak some over for me!

I was looking at stock signals, and although I am not a MA type of guy, I know that a lot of people are into the 50/200 cross, which makes it somewhat predictive. Check out this scan from stockcharts.com:

Great observation, better to walk with the herd then get trampled going against it alone.....

Thanks. I hear a lot of people talk about being the making the most money going against that herd.......but none of them do it. lol

You need other people to push a trade in your direction. It's that simple.

While I tend to agree with you Chris, I did find this article somewhat amusing (it's written very tongue and cheek). Then again, they aren't talking about the herd, just conventional wisdom on wall-street.

Dow was up about 165 at one point this morning. At 3 pm, stocks are going negative in NY. Ok, so are we all clear that the direction is down now?

But there are going to be people talking on the television about how "cheap" things are, if you have a "long term time horizon."

That would be the "Hold and Prey" strategy they refer to.

My prediction was good until the 90th minute or so. I thought for sure I would be correct.....Oh well.

Hope the Spanish can knock off Germany......I think I favor Holland against Spain more than Germany.....

Well Holland didnt look that good today.. Hey lets hope for Germany, the soccer they played is really the best i've seen during the hole cup

Unfortunately I only got about 200 pips out of this, there was quite a bit more to be had... (moved stop up too quickly i guess). Even the bounce at 1.00 looks textbook to me...

Notice how you said "I only got 200 pips out of this one." That's a good sign that you are looking at the big picture. I remember thinking 80 pips was a big deal.....
