think it was a bit to high Caillou at the moment. but news due at uk 9:30 and EUR at 10 so it may go through it later. I believe it might anyway on expectations of bad U.S data later today but i would wait for the release as the data releases at the moment cause some strange currency moves.

well took the kids to school, come back to find SL hit. So +20 overall.

looks like most are expecting bad US data at 1:30 gmt, especially after poor data yesterday. I won't be around then, but i might put a buy order in on the GU or EU on a round number above the PA.

Who knows we may be about to see a change from the 'Euro debt crisis/GP deficit' to a 'US economy crisis'??

well i'm trying to keep an eye on the miners over here. I sometimes buy them on a Friday if they've dropped through the week (espec. if they've dropped every day Mon-Thur). They often bounce on a Friday. Fav is RIO.

On the FX i'm long on GU from 1.5024 yesterday ( took 1st lot at .5125 SL now here for 2nd lot)
AU from this morning BUY at .8456 (TG1 .8506...TG2 .8558....at the moment)
just sold UJ at .8796 (1 lot, tight SL, no TG)
....these are medium term bets

well i've had a bloody good week this week. Even though i had just come back from my hol's.

Just sold my RIO bet at £5 per point for 69points.

Just got into EU at .2525 I think people will move in in anticipation of bad US data (small 1lot)

it´s seems that e/u wants go up, but g/u has a great resistance in 1.52

close 1 lot g/u whit a very small profit the other s/l 1.5175

e/u at break even.

RIO is rio tinto a mining company

out of most positions now:
GU at 1.5188 for +164 (+101 from lot1 giving +265)
AU is up +30 and still going (will leave open)
UJ big spike on news knocked me out but tight SL ment only -20
and just got out of my 1lot of EU at .2492 for +67.....total pips today 320+

Sorry tradpat never seen your post.

there nothing wrong with using 00 or 50 numbers for entering on bigger time frames, it's all the same really. however i use this often for a quick in and out, that's when the smaller TF comes into play, to grab 25 or 50 pips.

I thought i'd check on my AU bet as i don't like keeping them open over the weekend. I like to close them, take account of the week then start afresh Monday. AU stopped out for -40 (x2) a little dampener to the end of the week. But still a good week.
