Hey, so now Shamus is SELLING his SMART system?

What gives?

I thought he said it was gonna be free?!
I first asked this in the CHAT but I think I was the only one there.

Are there any SMART Trader users out there who can point me in the right direction? I'm fairly new to VSA trading and thought the software could help with the learning curve. I've got the candles figured out but trying to decipher some of the other information has been challenging.

My guess was that the background description in the upper right hand corner describes the last marked candle. However not that I’ve looked studied it, this doesn’t appear to be the case.

Also it defines the Range as the last 25 bars; so how many bars back does “Immediate” look back?

What are the differences between the information in the upper right hand corner and the information below the volume bars? Is it the same info or different? Is so how is it different?

What are the MTF bars in the upper left hand corner measuring?

Is there anywhere I can go to get a description (or designed use) for each of the modules?

Hi David. I have been in and out of the chat for a bit and had to take care of some personal business this evening. Please submit any questions to the ticket system as this is the fastest way to get a response.

The range deals with the last 25 bars as you mentioned and immediate is the last signal. mtf is the multiple time frame scanners.

Also we are working on a visual bg scanner as we speak and it should appear in the next update.

I wish I could find only one trade where I see a selling climax on ultra high volume followed a bit later by a test and when I enter at the end of the test bar then the price do not continue its down trend like crazy.

None of those shitty VSA signals are working for me!!!

I am live with your great system and just need to know which module/indicator will show me the Horizontal Volume (same as market profile), as I tried them all and couldn't reach it?

Volume based SR is included in SMART. The indicator you are interested has been posted a bunch of times in here and is in the downloads (click attachment icon and hide images) Market profiler is the name I think.

I had modified the market profile mt4 indi for my own use a while back, some may find this update useful. This is not an extension of the previous one, the POC lines are the same as the original.

The settings are as follows:

StartDate = The date to start the profiler (only applies if ShowToday is false)

ShowToday = show today's profile (remember it will be incomplete)

CountProfile = Number of days back to show the profiler

In a trading channel, if the volume near the supply line is lower than previous volume at that level, price should not be able to break through supply.

If at this level we see an up-bar on very high volume higher than the previous volume at that level, should we expect the price to go higher because the volume is higher than at the previous touch of the supply level, or should we expect the price to rebound and go down, because the volume is very high compared to the volume of the previous bars?

Hi. We use vol based sr which I feel is better. You are free to use any profile type indicator you wish though.

Great, kindly help me buy posting a chart that shows an example (For Vol based SR), as I am not able to understand how it works, while I believe it is very important.
- And if in the same time you can teach me on "POC lines" usage and what do they mean, I would highly appreciate it.

High volume on a effort to rise or wrb is actually healthy if the volume is not extreme. We saw a perfect example of this yesterday in the chat. Two etr's over a few hours one was extremely high volume and ended up being a reversal point, the other was healthy and it did not reverse.

I'm a bit tired after a long night so will look back to see if I messed your questions completely.

It doesn't draw mml as there are plenty of really good ones out there already that you can choose from.

Effort to rise and buying climaxes are both WRB's and are painted as you can see from the link above. We do not draw lines for them but could likely add it in a future update if enough people ask. (I would need to confirm this with Chuck)

It works fine on a laptop even with a number of charts and the scanners running. Chuck did an amazing job of optimizing the code so that there is very little to no lag depending on your machine.

PS if anyone has questions specific to SMART please submit a ticket through the site. I see them a lot faster that way. You can also come in the chat.

What a misleading individual. And a rather opportunistic one.

Let me break it down for you: Shamus is a strategical manipulator. He starts the VSA thread after someone else already started it in the guise that it is for VSA. People start kissing his ass and saying that he is a very good VSA trader although Shamus himself denies it in the beginning. As with all good manipulators, Shamus is a people person starting his picture tennis thread so everyone thinks hes a fun-loving good spirited guy. This image helps with in his dealings with people so that people dont suspect him of anything.

Yet, here we are with his agenda revealed.

Oh and please dont tell me that you werent planning to sell it when the idea was concieved. Because I know ou werent.

But that doesnt matter, at the end of the day what matters is that you acted maliciously towards someone with all the VSA noobs backing you at the time against Forexflash and now here we are. You peddling your wares.

I have heard from 10 people, some in this thread saying their copy paid for itself on one or two trades.

Those comments mean something to me... yours do not. You are clearly upset you weren't chosen in beta and now actually have to pay for something of value.

The truth is forexflash built in a timebomb and his code like the one he ripped it off from (the ninja indicators) do not work. That is why I had him removed from the thread.

You should read back in the thread and count how many times I said SMART would be free. The answer is 0 The old version I was working on in mql was going to be given away but it wasn't very good. I mentioned that it (the vsa trainer) would be free once (over a year ago), and if you look at the context it was said in, you can see it was meant to stick it to forexflash for taking advantage of the goodwill of people in this thread. After chuck came on board to help and a lot of time was put in we decided it would be worthwhile to sell it to recoup some of our investment, make some money, and control it's distribution. It wasn't some big master plan you think it was lol. Talk about getting real.

Also no one had to register for another forum to sign up for beta or release notification, that is either an out right lie on your part or you just like to say dumb things. The link is still up on the first post so you can click it and wallow in your wrongness.

I just reread my reply to wowzer and now that I have, I realize I may have been a bit harsh. For this I apologize.

SMART was an intense and long project and it gets me a bit miffed when people come in spouting off about whether it should be free or not without any understanding of the time and investment it took to create.

It's not free and it's worth much more than we charge end of story.
