For me it tells You have good expierence in 5 in TF

That was more detailed than I expected.

I guess thats' one of my stumbling blocks --Up bars on HV.

Previously thought the HVUB had one exception indicataing strength; that was if it was breaking through a previous top, which would then be confirmed immediately with a test.

BUT you're right. I got the tools, Just have to use them properly!

Look at how price came down to the lower value of friday ,we saw stopping volume , then price rose back up to poc 4 day back ( cluster of three pocs in that area) ...then dropped back to the lower value area of thursday only 2 find 2 x shakes outs there...

I would love to get a proper market statistics indie in MT4. The static ones we do have (thanks to polomine, twobuck and others) are OK, but a real time one combined with VSA would basically give you crystal ball powers.
Price always zips between the standard deviation lines, the value area and in relation to VWAP and POC, and the volume patterns signal when you get a big move back from SD2 or SD3 through VWAP and out to the other extreme.

Market stats show you what your targets should be (so you can distinguish between 50 pip moves (1SD) and 150 pip moves 3+ SD), and tells you when you should be long or short. VSA shows you when the move is happening and clarifies the entries.

If any decent coder wants to take on the challenge of coding up real markets stats indie (or even a TPO market profile) then PM me.

Greetings Malcolm,

Much thanks for all the time you put into this thread. I have read the book you advised and am rereading it as most of the info didnt stick. Im an old geeser with hopes of using my aquired knowledge of vsa to help me become a better trader. I have spent the past 23 years in the fire service helping others and am looking forward to retirement in two years. Then i hope to have more time to devote to fx trading.I currently try to catch the london/usa overlap. I have a couple of questions if you please.

1. I am currently using a broker with mt4 (primebank)but the volume readings i get are poor. How do i determine which broker has feeds for strong volume? I have considered fxdd or mb trading?

2. I have seen you referred to ninja trader.I started a demo and have read that you may have some good indicators for this software. If so which ones do you recommend?

In the past i have wasted money on various ea's and other trading systems and never thought about where the smart money is trading until now. Vsa has opened my eyes and fueled my passion to learn all i can.

Thanks again for all of your knowledge, i see you have attracted various other successful traders in this thread. Im excited to learn as much as this old brain can absorb.

Interbank has some good data.

Not sure on your position sizing or volume of trading but esignal you can get free futures data thru transglobal futres and interactive brokers seems to be in partnership with esignal .

There may be an opportunity there if you do a certain amount of volume per month you can get esignal for free , check with interactive brokers on this.

I posted ninja indies in one of the earlier threads. Go to right hand corner and look thru the attachments.

When i get a chance this week I will add to the front page.

your chart mentioned no demand yet it looks like a 60 min

in asia volumes on a a 60 min will always be lower than those in us .... so much harder to do vsa on

Typically in asia I isolate the session to a 15 min time frame chart and see if there was subtle buying on dips or selling on effort to rise.

I did not see anything today so am off to bed ....

aj 15 stopping vol .. look for any low vol tests and hulls to turn up for long on a 15 min

cable got bought at 1.5020 on a 30 min woth what look to be stopping vol ....

def 1st sign of strength

wait for hulls to turn on gu and aj .... this bottom could take time to form.

whacky market movements tonight on 15 min

looks like the down moves eu and gu being bought but market not ready to rise.

also es still moving down

do not try and pick a bottom on one candle wait for those hulls ma to turn on a 15
