Has anyone used the same EA for different timeframes? For example, using EA on 1m, 5m, 15m, etc. If so, how were your results?

hey eagle4x.... yes.... almost always actually....

obviously some of the settings must differ....... and results per tf will differ also....

most every ea you see me post charts of will be live accounts and the ea's will be running on 15 minute thru 1440....... either from a single chart or from separate charts.....

never 1 minute, weekly or monthly....... those are either too fast or too slow..... 5 minute, only special occasions.....

there is a limit to the number of charts you can open at any one time....

if that limit is an issue, i'll combine all tf's and/or all pairs into a single ea which can be attached to a single chart...... so a single chart trades all pairs and all timeframes..... that solves quite a few problems......h
to trade and code, keep both simple... no call to impress....h

Yes, I agree that some settings should differ as tf's increase since there are less whipsaws on the higher ones. For example, you wouldn't want a filter for trading hours on a daily chart. But how can one EA trade different tf's if the filters will have different settings?

hey eagle..... it's just code..... below is an example from the ea i'm writing now....

just basic "if -- then" type code....

one chart can trade every timeframe and pair if need be..... it's easier actually.... rather than 30 charts you have 1.......h
