This is not just far off, but diametrically opposite to fti teaching

fti did go into the studies of Hermetic philosophy. Did you read the K book and watch some of his "interesting" video posts? I believe there is a relation there but at the end of the day, it just means pratice, practice and more practice. Master the skill and you will be one with trading (and the market). Those who get it, get it and those that don't, won't.

From my point of view, I agree. The method is basic and we need to stick to the basics. Of course, he hasn't revealed everything and he did open a can of worms with his "spiral within spiral" comment.

Only in so far as I think ancient philosophies and scriptures represent centuries of collective observations and wisdom, and as such are valid and valuable life lessons. "General understanding" only, not detail study. I am so unspiritual I find more inspiration in a cook book.

I sort of took what suits me (advice in red) since there is no way I will understand this thingy in depth. To me it's a position management thingy - vibration to either side of our entry prices, and how to take advantage of it.

Edit: may be you are thinking of understanding the principle of vibration will make the trader vibrate in sync with the market and achieve a one-ness. This is sort of beyond me, but I am always interested in how other's journey along this path help them.

CHAPTER IX
VIBRATION.

The great Third Hermetic Principle–the Principle of Vibration–embodies the truth that Motion is manifest in everything in the Universe–that nothing is at rest–that everything moves, vibrates, and circles.

How does that translate into trading? It's about the "feel" right? What are we watching on the charts? Vibrations? Cycles (circles)? In its basic form, the idea is to enter and exit at swing points. Then we learn to spiral. How do we do that? We observe and feel. We learn. We become one with the market. We can see (and feel) it stall. We can see (and feel) signs of reversal. With practice it becomes more and more clear. It then becomes a reflex and we just react. We master it and we are at one.

That's my basic understanding. There is no magic. We are present and not watching a crystal ball.

CHAPTER XI.
RHYTHM.
The great Fifth Hermetic Principle–the Principle of Rhythm–embodies the truth that in everything there is manifested a measured motion; a to-and-from movement; a flow and inflow; a swing forward and backward; a pendulum-like movement a tide-like ebb and flow; a high-tide and a low-tide; between the two-poles manifest on the physical, mental or spiritual planes.

What are we talking about here? The cycles, waves and the dance, correct?

It's how we understand and relate that knowledge with what we do. In this thread it's about trading but we can also expand that to life.

Yes, the one-ness. How can I explain it? When I drive I am one with the traffic. I don't think I just react. I know where I want to go and it just kind of happens. I don't really think about pushing the accelerator, the brake or flicking the indicators. It's kind of a reflex. It takes lots of practice but we eventually get there.
