Trend Trading for a Living: Learn the Skills and Gain the Confidence to Maximize Your Profits by Thomas Carr.
I have placed all my other trading books back on the bookshelf and this book accompanies me everywhere I go. If you are looking for simple methods with big returns, Dr. Carr's book fits the bill.

I recently bought Covel's Trend Following. Very vague on the particulars (no systems are introduced), but excellent in terms of ramming home the whole idea of trend trading as a concept.

Not that I'd endorse illegal downloading, but you might want to check out scribd.com. It has a lot of PDF files, some of them are full books. And yes, there are books about trading and even trend following. I usually take a look at books available there to determine whether I want to buy a book. I hate reading books behind a screen so I still buy books that I find worth the money.

Before I can post any sort of answer I would like to know what your experience in trading is. This is a very broad question you ask. Trend trading is simply finding an entry, make sure you dont overtrade the lot size and managing the trade through ranging periods in a trend.

Some key things I look at:

1. Weekly Chart for past 3 months
2. Daily chart to see how choppy the currency is day by day
3. 4 hour chart again to see how choppy the currency is throughout long periods of the day. (I like to focus on this because it really quiets the noise in a intraday chart)
4. 1 hour to find a candle pattern This must require 2 or more candles to complete a pattern for a reversal
5. Identify and exploite the Range of a trade hence if uptrend you can either trade support on the range or the breakout of the range and visa versa.

I move your stops accordingly to s/r on the 1 hr chart.
