I tend to agree. I would rather encourage people to start reading this thread and discover the jewels fti has left. Leon is 22 years old (according to his profile) so he has lots of potential (if he allows himself to discover it).

People like Leon who constantly question things are the ones most likely to succeed than sheep who follow blindly. A lot of the posters here seem to be putting him down at ever opportunity, this only reflects on them especially when their posts are illogical and poorly formed.

I wasn't trying to help anyone out. I just clarified what I had in mind when I wrote what I wrote. I remember reading that a few days ago and I thought the same then as I wrote today. Again, from your response you seem to over analyse everything and become overly defensive. Now that's not an attack, just my observation. It's there in your personality and perhaps that's something this thread will allow you to discover about yourself.

We all need to find that balance at the end of the day and if we're not careful we can get into analysis paralysis. Then we are stuck and go nowhere. It's helpful when everyone willing and in good heart is given a chance. Night....

Once again, I call a truce with everyone. I'm here to learn, and I wouldn't be here if I didn't see any value. Let's just get on and be positive.

I realise that valuable information will not only be confined to the first 200 pages... would you all suggest I internalise/try to gain an understanding of what IS included in those 200 pages before I delve in to the masses of other pages? Or alternatively, try to skim through the whole thread? This is going to be a big job... but I don't want to miss anything.

EDIT: PS: Does anyone want to take part in a thread comb? Divide the thread pages in to how ever many people chose to participate, lift all interesting and relevant posts, and then paste them in to a word document? Then we can share documents and get a quick, full picture so we can try to catch up with the long time contributors.

Can I also ask, why the first 200 pages? It seem an arbitrary number. Also 200 pages with 10 posts per page? Seems reasonable.

The first 200 pages include FTI's lessons, all information after that is sporadic; FTI's responses to what other people are doing rather than the former.

Thanks, be thankful you arent in the J16 thread and having to read that, I actually wrote a program that downloaded the thread and made it filterable by username. I think I did it for FTI's thead Ill have a look.

OK, very tired from a full day of trading. Was very nimble today and I believe luSan would be proud of me -- LOL. Hope you all got on the E/J and CAD bandwagons in the NY afternoon session. From the looks of things, the EU has not figured out what the heck to do, and the euro is still sinking. Will get some rest and see what the Tokyo session brings. As long as this thing keeps making pips, I will be here trading it.

I just read the last few pages of posts, and would like to make a suggestion. Leon, open some charts and start trading. Post your successes and failures, along with your notes on analysis, entry, etc. Start slow and expect many bumps along the way. For me, when you ask a question, my answer always starts with, 'it depends", so lets get the process started and see how you finish. You are experiencing a lot of negative reactions from other traders here, mainly because your communications style is not well matched with many here. Based on what everyone here is telling you, there is a one lane path before you and stepping off the path is a game stopper. Move forward with great care and best of luck to you.

Well, it's a down trend by most standards. We have the resistance below, but the pullback wasn't particularly deep. Why not go south? Before I'd make a trade I'd need to decide how far my rescues would go should the trade go against me, to know this I'd need to decide which trend would need to reverse to change me from a bear to bull.

Lusan, Indianguy said that I had upset you, and I'm sorry if this is the case.

Man, the only way of learning to trade is by TRADING. Just do it and stop asking questions based on thoughts and intellectual analysis. It is imposible to learn the way without doing it. YOU HEAR ME?
That should be very clear. Nobody learns to paint without painting. nobody learns to dance without dancing; so I plan not to answer/deal with your questions and other comments until you commit your energy into the act.

That sizes it up pretty nicely. I have an eye on 1.2205 to square up the last move, but not sure what would get the euro back there. Let's see what develops and just trade that.

This thread is not a class or a text book, it's a real, live learning environment where you read, do, ask, listen, learn, and then repeat. Get started or find something else to do. Show me my 'stupid' questions so that I can stop asking them.

In contrast to your own view on learning, I don't believe that one HAS to make thousands of mistakes and waste years doing things wrongly, this is why I wish to find the facts/truths first.

I know what you want... you want me to post charts and trades so you can tell me when what I'm doing doesn't work. Should the chemists set the sheets with their formula's written on them on fire before they die so the next chemist can go through the humbling experience of failing many times?

I'm not saying you should give me all you have, but don't dress it up any other way than pure selfishness. It's not 'for my own good' in the slightest. You refuse to answer my questions because you want me to struggle? Yes? I don't blame you, but don't deny it. The most progress in undoubtedly made by the passing on of knowledge and bypassing of misstakes... but this thread (and the forum) is about ego and hierarchy (or some sort of personal gain, emotional or material)... not progress.

FTI's motives, assuming he is who I DO believe he is (a successful retired Trader), it the satisfaction that comes with knowing what others want to know.
