I understand what you're all saying, you think I'm trying to turn what you do in to a mechanical method... but that's not it at all. Like any method worth the brain cells it took to think it up, in my opinion, the trader of said method needs to know exactly what to do in each situation. I should know when to take profit and when to cut a loss, if I'm just guessing all the time with no basis for the action, then what's to stop me profiting this week and then losing for the rest of the year? Nothing.

This is why I want to know the ins and outs. This may sound lazy... but this thread isn't my life. I've got other important things to do such as study and work. I'm trying to assure my self that this isn't fly-by-your-pants trading, so that I can then dedicate serious time.

I may come across as lazy, but that isn't my intent or my personality. I regret coming across in that way if I have.

Leon what other important things do you have to study? I'd say you'd learn about mechanics, body repairs and even aero dynamics just to drive a car. Why not just learn to drive instead? Once there and after some practice you'd understand that when driving most of it is just reflex. You don't really think about it, it just happens and you get a feel for the traffic and for the car so it all just happens. You'd also understand that knowing about the mechanics of the car and aero dynamics isn't really helpful.

The above may seem obvious to most because most understand what driving involves but you have the same approach to trading. It's like, you want someone to tell you the traffic conditions before going out to drive. You want to know where to turn and when to stop. The reason for your frustration is that you want the answers that nobody can answer.

I'll say this one more time only. The guide and knowledge is in this thread. Read the thread carefully, do the excercises and practice, practice, practice. Repeat until you either understand or realise this isn't for you.

If you still think you have better things to do then I wish you all the best on your journey.

This past year I've been at college (studying an equivalent qualification to whatever the highest level work Americans will do at high-school is, I assume) studying: Law, English Language, Sociology. After the summer I'll be studying Economics and Maths A-levels (UK) and then I'm going to University (called college in the US?). I've been very busy and will continue to be.

I do have time to trade and learn, but like most people I like to use my time as efficiently as possible. To use my time efficiently I need to have as good of an understanding of this as possible before I spend time watching charts.

I understand that you may not be able to describe how you trade if it's about 'feelings', as they are difficult if not impossible to write down on paper sometimes. It doesn't sound like I will get much help here regardless of whether the steps can be explained , people seem to have taken a dislike to me.

One more thing, it wasn't too long ago that fti was not very impressed with me and my postings and some went even further and "spat" at me. I'm still here though.

Now believe it or not, I have photographic evidence that fti is a real human being (with two eyes, ears, a nose and mouth). Not only that, he himself has the same traits as most other humans. That includes an ego and temper - surprise surprise.

Anyway, you don't need to be liked to learn. You don't even have to post. You just need the motivation. The short path is here whereas most other threads will take you through a very long and dangerous path.

Good one... but why we need to know this???....I have full time Job 10 hours and i have 2.5 hours commute each way....

As every learning has a teacher and Student.

Your earlier posts were like you Teachers are not telling us the right thing or you are not teaching properly(though we are no where near FTI except auxesis)....for me you are not even coming as a Student who wants to learn in the way teacher wants to explain.. you like to learn your way...Fast and furious...most of us here take this as MARATHON..its not SPRINT for anyone of us...

btw in all essense you are coming up very very arrogant on your post...you have already pissed of Lusan ( and i can tell that guy is gem i have met him personally and i know this guy)....

Maybe you don't understand my posts because English isn't your first language. Zoran said the following to me:

btw i guess working on wall st in NYC doesnt matter bcz english is not my first language...

My fellows this guy really went on my nerves... anyone still want to accommodate him go ahead... he is really acting like ****

Just feel bad bcz then when a genuine guy wants to learn this atleast i will be skeptical for a while...

What? Is it a secret that English isn't your first language? It's not an insult, I can just tell by your writing... It was therefore a possibility that this was also the reason you didn't realise why I listed my current/future education. I haven't done anything wrong, so stop looking for reasons to pick on me.

This is a great thread, thanks FTI your posts are thought provoking and enlightening. The last pages though have a bad feeling, seems like people are ganging up on Leon and attacking him for asking questions. Doesn't help at all or for any new people who might want help.

It would be better to refrain for answering negatively if you feel people are not up to your level, all traders started out as beginners.

I am going through the first 200 pages of the thread in detail and reading all the requested readings, amazing knowledge.

This was part of my post that lead to your response:

In the above post, the word 'study' was intended to mean college study. Your post regarding study said:

"Leon what other important things do you have to study?"

To which I then responded with my subjects and where I was studying them. The fact that the words 'important', 'things', 'to', and 'study' were used in both mine and your posts lead me to believe, and anyone else who is rational, that your post WAS in response to the above one of mine (which is also coincidentally closer in time), and not to the following, as you claim:

This was a very weak attempt to try and help Indianguy out by making it look like I was flashing an education around. I have no problem with you, but this was very lame.
