generally I am referring to sentiment of the market, which can be easily determined from the typical financial newspaper. Also look at inter market relations, for example the Dow and Nikkei if you look at Yen. Most big moves are accompanied with big headline news, whether relevant or not.
My signature ? lol my apologies, it was a little experiment I did on myself, six months data showed that my most profitable entries (currencies and stock indexes) only took on average 33 secs to decide while those that took longer than that either made less or end up as losers. I got this idea from one of the market wizard books but I forgot which one.
