Hi folks,

I just wanted to add another piece to the CTT that was mentioned on Craig's blog, and I'm assuming was mentioned in one of his webinars. It's a 2nd leg to the CTT trade.

After the London close you have to look for the reversal pattern after the swing low or high.
Enter the trade long (or short) on the break of the candle that reversed.
Target is the 23.6% fib retrace and close position when the market is not willing to go beyond that level.

Typically we will then have a 61.8 or 78.6% fib retracement for an eventual new CTT.
Try to get about 15 pips per trade, in this channeling market.

I am been following this thread and am interested in its content. I would to thank you all for such a good thread , especially Big E.

A few things i need clarification on.

Tokyo Channel Times.

I am in New Zealand trading +12gmt. Can some please tell me in my time when the Tokyo channel begins and ends?

Pivot Indicator. SDX. TzPivots.

When are these reset?

Does the Ms1, Mr1 relate to monthly pivot/s/r?

Appreciate your help.

I have the Asian times set to 00:00- 08:00 GMT, using the "Asian Session" indicator from somehwere in this thread. I trade from Melbourne and have +10 GMT.

As for the other indi's I'm sorry I can't help. I don't use them.

Thanks for that. I am using Go Markets at present so i guess they are +10gmt.

I have know idea how to set MT4 to whatever time. Should be able to find somewhere.

Can you please explain M1 TF ?

Also I notice the template is set up for the 5 minute time frame as opposed to the original 15 min, is this because there are more entry opportunities in the 5 min? I do sometimes notice on the 15 minute time frame when there is a strong move there is no chance to get in.

If you switch from 5 min to 15 the template goes weird

Can anyone explain to me what those two black lines template adds?
In addition, I would like an explanation about the Dashboard, what is all this data? Can anyone explain every one of them?

Hi there HX. The M1 TF is simply setup for instructions on how to modify or tweak the settings of the template to your liking. I used a CCI indicator and set it to blank sot that I could write text in the M1 TF (that's the only TF the CCI is visible in).

Regarding the M5 TF, the answer is no, there are not more trade opportunities on the M5 over the M15. As a matter of fact, please only trade the CH method on the M15, that's what it is intended for...and only after you are experienced and versed in how to profitably trade the system would I even suggest you look at any other TF. The reason I put 2 of the indicators to only show on the M5 (the Fractals and Fractal S/R) is because my personal taste is that they clutter the charts too much...and since we don't use Fractals or Fractal S/R to enter or exit trades, I don't see them as a necessary "must" to have on the charts. What they DO do however is to show you visibly where the swings are. Once you learn to read a swing, it's very easy to see the swings without the Fractals. I believe CH uses the Fractals to show his students where the swings are as they are learning.

If you wish to have the Fractals and the Fractal S/R show on your M15, simply go into the settings of the indicators and set them to show on all TFs, or whichever TFs you wish.

Thanks Xaphod for answering his questions. The reason (some) people like to have the H1 and H4 lines plotted on the screen is because it's sort of like being able to see the H1 and H4 TFs on the M15 chart without having to switch around. As you progress along and become more familiar with this trading method, you will see that there are some trades that can be taken based on the previous H1 candle.

Hello everyone,

I know I am coming to this thread rather late, but I have been reading through as much as I can. I think I am only about 60% through it, so far.

Still, I wanted to post a chart of a GBPUSD trade I took at the London Open tonight. As you can see, I shorted @ 1.4557, after the IB at the LO, with stoch agreement. My first TP was @ 1.4507, for I figured it would go at least 2 big numbers. But, with the difficulty it had getting below 1.4520, I changed my TP to 1.4524, and got out with +33.

This next trade I actually entered a little early, but I felt the confluence of events justified it. First, price had come back down to the 50% fib level of the massive move up from yesterday. This fib level also coincided with the BN @ 1.4500. The candle pattern was shaping up into a very nice morning star pattern, and stochs were below 80 and just beginning to turn up.

As price rebounded, it had gotten up to +33. But then it started to come back on me a bit. As Big E does, I closed it when it came back 5 pips, so I got out with +28.

That makes 61 pips on two trades. Not bad for 1 1/2 hours.

Edit: I should have held on to my original TP. My original goal was the BN @ 1.4580, which coincided with the upper limit of the Tokyo Channel. With that kind of confluence, it should have been obvious that price would get there. As it turns out, the candle I closed my position on wound up making it to 1.4582. That would have been another 18 pips. *Sigh* You live and learn...

Hey guys,

joining this a little late but i'm finding this more and more interesting and will try it out next week. I'm currently sticking to the original model taht Big E talked about as there was just too much information for me to take in with the new indics and tpls.

Just a question, when Craig talks about the stochastic lines being at a certain degree before you enter a trade, he says the slow line. If I'm using MT4, I'm assuming the "Main" line is the fast signal and the "Signal" line is the slow signal?

His settings are 8,3,3 for the stochastics (fast, slow, full)

Hello everyone. I've got to say I love this thread. I've been following for three months now and demo'ing this this system with great success. I was wondering if you anybody had the fractal support and resistance indi in mq4 so that I can change the colors. Brown and Dark Slate Gray are driving me crazy Thanks
