Has the robot been enabled for live accounts ?
Ignored
Yes.

I confess to some surprise at the promising start the bot has made on demo, so I have added it to the robots in the swing trading thread. I have made the Rsi period a user input; there are no other changes so users do not need to re-download unless you want to play with the Rsi period.

To avoid confusion and because this thread is about fib trading, can I ask that discussion of the SS robot be moved to the swing thread? It looks as though the SS indi picks up the swing too early for it to be used in the EM bot.

Lagging or leading is just a reference to how fast a trend direction is set. To put it simply, the RSI is weighted heavier than the Williams %R so therefore the Williams %R will set a trend direction faster. The compromise of setting a direction faster is that it is a weaker indicator so the RSI is there as reinforcement.

There was a time I was collecting as many indicators as I could find and have a collection of hundreds. However, nothing beats S&R, trend lines, MA and RSI. Take the super signal indicator sent to Steve by a contributor, it is identical to a S&R indicator provided in another thread in FF.

Very good explanation of leading and lagging indicators is here http://www.investopedia.com/universi...r/ind_osc1.asp

kind regards

The market is constantly changing & now we are seeing more CB intervention as anyone who had been following the Scooby thread will know.

There is no indicator in the world that is going to warn you if a CB is about to intervene. New traders need to take on a new mind set - you ARE going to lose, if you survive, it will because you can control your losing positions.

We all want a nice indi to lean on and hold our hands, lighting a way through the darkness - but it ain't going to happen.

Ludo sent me this link to one of Bobokus' videos over the weekend: http://myspace.vtap.com/topic.html?d...e&usrn=BoBokus

This is the simplest fib trading method I have come across; I recommend you all go and view the video. Bobokus is one of the best fibbers in the business.

A round of applause to Ludo for sending this.

Your words of wisdom are always appreciated. In conclusion is it correct to assume at present indicators are no use at all. For instance some pairs have had fluctuations of over 1500 pips during the last 2 weeks, therefore, what use is ATR in this environment. Some people advocate not trading at present point in time till the markets settle down. This may take few days, weeks or even months.

Kind Regards

Just before I jump over to Steve's Swing thread to follow the SS development, could I suggest removal of the link to 'more Super Signals'. I run Trend Micro Security Pro and when I tried to access that link I got a malware warning. If anyone else got that warning, then I suggest it would best be removed.

Sure, org the thread how you see fit. I dropped the EA on a FXDD live account last night - no go - just alerts when the signals occur, no entries.

The Demo has been very trading actively and well. Massive upl in equity using MPTM to close out when I get to 3% positive.

My guess is that you are using VPS and that is the reason for double orders. This happens when you have logged into your VPS via windows from 2 different pcs. To correct the fault reboot your VPS.

Kind Regards

Astral,
I am not on a VPS, but now that you mention it: i have my PC at home running the bot, and i monitor the account at work by logging into the account with the master password. Maybe that explains it. Thanks for switching my brain on

If you run night mode with early entry or original on you may get double orders. Turn them off when running night mode.

Hi all,
Today, as the USDCAD took a plunge, the bot opened a sell order on the deepest point of the spike. Could a news filter (do not trade x before/after..) be a solution? I remember this functionality in other Steve's bots.

Hi Steve,
This is a little earlier than I wanted to do this but I got an afternoon off. This is on 4hr charts and it's done well. I don't know what version this is but I don't think it's the latest.
I married EM and mptm about half way through this report....

Whip,

What do you mean you married EM and MPTM? What MPTM settings are you using?

My H4 demo of EM with MPTM still requires my intervention at this point.
