My trading journey

I really don't have a slightest clue why i opened this thread, my own journal to my journey to forex I started trading live August 2008 where the start of world economic turnoil and i didn't have any clue at all of what i was into. I signed up for a live account (5k regular acct at fxcm) after a sales person from fxcm made a lot of very promising sales pitch about forex. I remember him saying " having an investment of $3,500 (regular account) you can double your equity in no time" until now i don't have a clue what he meant by that. I opened an account thinking i will become rich in a quicker manner but to my dismay several days later, the market had skinned me alive.

I funded my account several times and until i realized my lifetime saving was now bleeding and said to myself something must have to be done, and as soon as possible. I was sitting infront of my screen after a long afternoon of business accounts consolidations (my own business - small cafe) i was reading few threads from FF and stumbled to fti's thread, TFA and i was really stuck to his thread. I was so interested and read the thread through (4 full days) and re-read again, although i was not an active poster even now, but an avid follower. all his teachings really for me is a gold mine. Honestly, i was really struggling to absorb what he's trying to teach because he used a lot of kinda "encrypted or coded" language left for us to decypher and plus the misspelled words oh, it's really a wonderful read.

I've learned from him how to follow and read the market, feel the pulse and react quickly to whatever she (the market) gives. I really enjoyed experimenting fti's rescue tactics but i preffered cutting losses and running profits than rescuing my troops for i never really had a high success rate by doing so. until now i'm still doing 112 & 113 attack sequence as fti's teaching, i believe i cannot afford higher level than this. I preffer to stick on attacks than rescuing, but if time dictates and need be, i believe i have to do so - i believe i have a very strong knowledge of how to do it right

And then i came accross the thread of feb's trading with irony and again captures my interest. as i was reading his thread, again there's something in me that boiling deep inside trying to blow my brains off. just like fti he too trade basically using pure price actions, but he's got some methodology and clear cut rules.

now i have their methodology combined fti's art of war and feb's V's formation, AWESOME!

Novemeber last year, was the month i say the golden month and the turning or say reversal moment of my trading career heheheeh. since then, i managed to recover all my losses from day one and managed to secure some pips profit now my book is up by 1.08%

okay, i want to start this by posting my first old blotter...

i don't care what people thinks of my journal; to those don't like my journal, just go away and find yourself a thread that suits you and besides i'm not inviting anybody to join me here i'm happy the way it is so far and please don't leave me a nasty message, but if you like to follow my journey you are most welcome, but again, i am just like you still learning. i am just trying to learn fast, absorb the ones that i know works for me and comfortable with.

both fti and feb encourage people to practice, be quick (nimble as fti said), and react - as feb always saying, be the first to react will be an edge in this industry

and if you have question and i cannot answer it on time, i'm urging you to be patient on me because i am actively trading live and i cannot just leave my battlestations un-attended specialy on a very high volatility period... but nevertheless i will try my best to answer all your questions rationaly hahahaha!

Okay here's my blotter from thursday and friday trades... i like playing eur/usd, aud/usd and gbp/usd but i shy away from cable lately because of its crazy spikes. I like euro and aud pairs better because it really trends and the correction is subtle, i can handle it emotionaly this shows how i fair with my entry and exit calls, i need to be nimble. i cut losses quick and let the winner run.

Here's my tuesday trade just after the momentum starts to grow and upon spotting V formation i actually entered after that second long candle closed (just after 2 dojis). I am trading in 5 minutes window and with a reference of 15m and 1 hour. there were actually 3 more possible long entry there but i just trade what i can afford as i have said, my attack sequence is only 112 or 113, on this trade, i already had position 2 of my soldiers (i.e. 1 &1) so at this time i was just waiting for posible 2 or 3 positions long entry which was indicated on the last drawn line where another doji star appear, so i was cautious and just waited for the right time to enter, which i did after the price came back up and break passed the drawn line after several candles past.

This was my trade last 2 weeks ago, this was bloody friday but i manage to ride the bus down and enjoyed few pips. when i opened my screen the correction of the first swing (after the doji star) was already forming and i was just waiting for confirmation for my entry. i check 1 hour and 15 min windows and it all pointing down and the daily chart is bear bias, so i knew i would be bear mode, and back to 5 min window to spot a the right entry.

I actually entered after that second bear candle closes (confirmation of bear rejection @ 1.2490) and it went a little bit againts me before it shoots down, and boy the momentum was very strong, the bears and bulls were fighting fiercely with no remorse i was just tightened my seat belt.

after 45 minutes of wild candle swings another bear rehjection was formed (pin bar @ 1.2450 area) so i waited for the right time to enter another 2 position and managed to enter at 1.2430.

riding the bus until the forming of double bottom, squared all my position @ 1.2370 and i called it a day!

this is how my screen will appear when i'm still feeling the pulse of the market and waiting for an entry. I followed fti's teaching regarding romancing 3 kingdoms, well almost i added 1 kingdom actually (aud). it took me sometime to really relate to this and its importance, but boy i'm so glad i did.

once i found my entry, i will just minimize other windows except the one i'm into and as fti's dance, i will dance the best way i could.

on times that there's not much action, and my soldier is in deep waters, i normally pull down 15 min and 1 hour window to seek direction, if i am still in the right direction just currently experiencing a minor correction i will just wait for the price to go back to its original direction and plays rescue or if it looks a deep retracement or possible reversal, i will just kill my soldiers right there and then, cutting losses.

can it be a minor correction (pin bar) or just a continuation pattern? but i'm feeling the pulse of the market so i follow the move as she swings, so it's just a minor correction this move will be.

this is already in a continuation move... notice the new lower low and the break of the new retest levels...

chart update. this is a classic resistance level when broken becomes support. i like this pattern, a staircase like pattern easy to find signs to enter and exit

my bias for the week is still bearish. if the price will breakout downward past 1.2150 then i believe it will push more deeper, and probably reach parity. don't get me wrong, i'm just reading the chart

just squared all my position @ 1.2380

with an attack sequence of:

sell 1.2478 x 2 = 196pips
sell 1.2450 x 1 = 70 pips
sell 1.2435 x 1 = 55 pips

total of : 321 pips
