why you are trading live?first find a methood that is you are comfortable with,make a trading plan.stick with the rules.dont rush.if u are not sure about entry and exit dont risk your hard earned money,unless u wanna gamble that money.
find a trading stratagy that suits u.and i am sure francis will help u with that.i think he missed your post thats why i am fingering that post to francis.good luck.

hey trade price, thanks! yes I am trading live - I do have a method or system that I follow, but the way I was taught - well from some seminars I went to used alot of technicals to enter -ID trend and then look at parabolics, stochastics, MACD and ADX.. the thing is that even though I can see when to enter and exit per-say (IE: change in these technicals) it appears that I still lose money as they really done always go the way I want them too... and the more I spend time in these forums I can see people lining up trades, at very specific price to BUY/SELL and then they have a set idea where they need to exit and by how many pips profit... with my system it teaches you to use roughly 100 pip stop loss and then exit when the techincals change against you... I must also admit my psychie has played alot in some of these and obviously the more I lose out the more I learn.. just the last straw was me holding shot or euro and it flying up... got stuck and huuuge loss - lesson learnt!

anyway will check out sho and start learning and look forward to posting on here if you can be honest and say yes thats right or great and no dont be daft this is where or what youre doing wrong

A quick question about the above chart.

Do you wait at the 50 % retrace level and enter as price hits that level, or do you enter as soon as the bar goes blue ?

not a hard rule, just feel the bar speed, the retrace can be 38 / 50 / 61% (Fib) if it is slow down, and look like rebound, then entry. Conservative approach is wait for signal bar, such as PB or IB then break out. But remember small SL.

More practice and screen time, you can feel the same.

Ive been trying to research the sho method online but have found nothing.. also checked out alot of this thread but still doesnt explain it well...

i belive in Democracy.hope this word answers who can post here.any one is wellcome as long is its about trading.may be i can learn somthing from you.
i am still learning everyday even from small kids.if you wonder how?i wanna share a story and how a small kid taught me how to be dicipline.and still that story helps me in trading.

one day i was in rush.i was walking very quickly to go my home.there was a road i had to cross.it was school time kids are comeing back from school to go home.there was a trafic light it was still green and all the car is passing through.suddenly i saw there was not any car coming ,i tried to pass the road but a small kid told me "dont try to go now wait for green man to show and red light apear to stop all the car.any time car can come without me realising.it doesnot take time to do an accident".

i stoped and passed the road with the child when green man appeared .from that day when ever i do see any light it reminds me that,small kid and he taught me something.
eventhough i could have passed the road but i did not.
he taught me,when i can pass the road with safety,no need to take the extra risk.he taught me to be dicipline.
when ever i break a trading rule,it reminds me that small kid.

trading is all about managing risk properly.and it takes time.you wont be able to learn in one day or three day seminer.there is certain time only you can feel the market.no indicator wont be able to feel that movement.its you who can feel the market.if you think its not safe stay side line, when you feel safe jump in .psychology plays great rule in trading.so you have to master that as well.again it takes time.
dont spend any real money untill you are fully comfortable with any methood.
find a stratagy that suits your personality.someone else make money with one methood, there is no gurantee you will be able to make money with that methood.it must have to meet with your personality to make money(imho)

looks like you are using lots of indicators.it will paralyse you.
what time frame do you trade?
if you trade intraday and stop loss is 100 pip each trade,then definitly something wrong with your methood(IMHO)
any way i allready talked too much.

This is definitely late entry, I was chasing the price, initially with little profit didn't take, seems there would be larger pullback, sharp cut with -5,

PS - chasing the price is no good, but small sl is the key if anything wrong, no need to wait for the hit of your hard sl. Even it eventually went down again. There is another chance.

You are welcome, but do remember it is a scalper rule (at least for me), so we build the profit bit by bit and at the same time to cut our losing trade with small sl.
