i will pull my words back,,im not selling gbp/jpy anymore ...we reach the bottom for medium term ..H&S is coming 129.75 left shoulder .. then up we go ..only if we take out the prev high at 132.81... so gbp/jpy in a no go zone ..

I agree that there will be some retracement but the current move is very worrying because it comes on the heels of that big Japanese news. BOJ flush with more virtual cash just pumped another 1T yen into their system at the overnight rate of 0.1% in order to fight off deflation. While the carries have rebounded it certainly didn't impress the Japanese themselves who are currently keeping the Nikkei near the lows for the day.

Agreed (in most parts) I'm Mr. Doom & Bloom myself 1.5 years ago I invested almost halve of my assets in commodities because of it, an prob. will stay in for the next 10 years.
The only thing I'm wondering is that we are dealing with relatives.
Selling GJ means you think J will be in better shape, will they?
Selling GU means you think U will be in better shape, will they?
I started forex because of my negative view concerning G and U.
But after 1.5 years I'm still searching for the best counterpart, but really can't find it.
Commodity currencies could be, but for now market do not think so......

Keep an eye out on U/J as PA is pushing the top of a bear channel...Also it look like E/U has broken the LTL on the a rising wedge.....

This could help push G/J down in the next hour or so....

Let see what London is bringing to the table...

The BoJ has been probably the most active currency manipulator over the last 5 years. Sometimes they admit it, sometimes they don't. The reason they've been quiet since 2004 is because Yen was depreciating. This has for as long as I remember, been their stated aim.

Over the past 2-3 years, they have been active, make no mistake about that. They do not announce such moves for 2 reasons; they don't want the markets to get spooked and they don't want to be seen as unilaterally taking such action.

It's easy to spot when you look closely enough. There is a thread dedicated to it on FF somewhere.

If G/Y does not break 129.80 down then you your target is a strong possibility... Let's see what happens now... you can see the battle going on as we speak...

TOKYO, May 21 (Reuters) - The Bank of Japan raised its
outlook for the economy by a notch on Friday and announced a loan

I am sure they are but this is just an observation of where PA could go over the coming days..... As long as the UTL currently at 130.5 stays unbroken eventually I would see 125 level reached before a retrace will occur....

Many things can occur before then including intermediary support levels so I am sure we will have subsequent discussions when we get close to those price points....

But before I get ahead of myself let's wait for 129 to fall first otherwise we could have a new picture to talk about
