Damn, stopped!

It's really incredible today. There was some guy few weeks ago who told that short could have lasted forever...

Hi All,

I've been shorting this pair for a couple weeks for the interest mainly, but WTH is going on today? This is a heck of a bounce.

What do you all think? Time to add some more at a great price and presume this is a bounce, or are there some fundamentals I'm not aware of going on?

Thanks in advance :-)

I am in the same boat as you. It has been a great ride down but this move today is just unbelievable. I guess it is time to add a short (small size) because I just do not see how the euro can hold up much longer. It has had a good up move today too.....I am thinking a few market makers wanted to get a euro short at a better price.

yeah, definitely could be. I figured there would be some serious resistance around 1.4, but wow.

Also, it looks like it might be the Aud weakening as well as the Eur strengthening (?). EUR/USD is definitely bouncing, but the AUD/USD is plummeting too (see attached).

I think I'll wait for the downtrend to be confirmed and then add some more unless there's something I'm totally missing like some AUD related fundies.

Good luck to you forexstrah :-)

Commodity currencies are under pressure cause of risk aversion, like in 2008. Simple. ;-)

PS: Just have a look to NZD, CAD and ZAR, and WTI too. ;-)

ahhh now it's coming together :-)

I sure hope it's not quite as dramatic as in 2008. EUR/AUD jumped 3.5k pips in a week!

I'll be interested to see how this plays out...

Thanks for the insight CG!

this looks like a very bullish pair now. I could see it retracing to 1.420 off the TL starting at low may be a good entree for long.

1.5100 is the place that I'm starting to go short. With ny luck this will be a nice retracement.

If we'll have a new crisis like in 2008... then commodity currencies will fall down very quickly.

eheheh

In 2008 it rose more than 3000 pips in one week (opening 1.78 close 2.08)... one again now??
