Oandas own crappy charts, lag their ticket prices all the time. Sometimes by seconds!!!!

DislikedI've been with Oanda for years, since 2005. I've used MT4 for charting, but realized that even the best MT4 methods can be duplicated on Oanda using standard indicators.
I wouldn't trade anywhere else. They're finanacially the strongest broker, and during the "flash crash" their platform was rock solid while most brokers had bad slippage and outages. They even disabled the gaming platform to conserve bandwidth for the real money accounts!Ignored
DislikedIt certainly makes it true to my own experience & that of others posting similar reports here. I just dont get your motives for fiercely denying & trying to discredit everything we are saying.Ignored
DislikedCrikey, is that problem still going on!
I don't use Oanda's charts as I prefer MT4's charts but last time I used them about 3 or 4 years ago they had the same 'sync' problems, and also lagging quotes in the quote panel vs ticket prices.
The whole platform is somewhat buggy, they keep patching it up and adding new little trinkets when what it really needs is a major overhaul in my opinion!
I think the best addition they ever made was one-click, that works quite well, oh and FXManager......but that's also full of bugs!Ignored
DislikedWhy do you think that everyone has a hidden motive ? Are you a marxist of some sort ?Ignored

Dislikedbeen with oanda for 3 yrs now? 2-3 anyhow.
They work great for me, if your crying about a couple of pips on the spread either way then your not trading properly.
Sure it's nice to have the couple of extra pips here and there...but if it's making or breaking you I'm not sure what your doing with your trades.
I can't remember the last disconnect with oanda, I leave my station up 24/5.
Sure they widen their spreads on news, but it's always predictable, and you still can get in and out of a trade if you need to.
Anyway, I'm not coming back...Ignored
DislikedWhen the spread is meant to be 0.9 pips, i do not think it is acceptable for the REAL (fill price) spread to work out 50% more, let alone 100-200+% more.
I am not talking about news times. I accept the oanda spread widens around news. Other brokers would just keep their spreads the same on news but likely requote you. I do not trade news for both these reasons. However, i often stay in a trade through a news release, if i am in it already.Ignored
DislikedI exploited Oanda's platform for a number of years once I realized what they were doing, as did several other astute traders I know. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end.......sigh, those were the good old days!Ignored
