I agree and I would never use such a tactic but I thought he said he exited the trade last week while it was just a take profit target.

I think that there is a little misunderstanding on this thread.
The point of this thread is to show that the "Holy Grail" (100% winning rate) does exist, even when the market is trending against your positions.

Having a position go 500 pips away from your TP isn't really the 'Holy Grail', its just a buy and hold (aka hope) type strategy.

If you predicted that the euro would come back to 1.3030, also why not increase your position at 1.2550 or something.

It does not exist and will never exist unless you have a printing press yourself. You might but not many people do so what good is it even if you have your own oil well or printing press? It's worthless!

of course. price oscillates instead of moving in a straight line, so there is always a small chance of price coming back to your initial entry. But such a strategy in my book, is called gambling.

That's almost 1:10 win to loss ratio. But considering you do not utilise emergency stop in your trades, the ratio might not be applicable. My question is this, what is the max drawdown you will allow yourself for a particular trade? % wise. There must be a limit for the losses taken, else there will definitely be a complete wipeout.

And since this is your personal journal, we'll all have to respect your space & posts. It's just that some of us (myself included) have been trading a while now & doing it for a living, a 100% win no failure trading is a bit insulting to our risk management abilities.
Do you mind sharing your live acct statement to prove there is merit in your method?

Yes, it was inappropriate. But to be fair, you had dodged questions which could've easily restored your credibility. The reactions from other members towards you is not to say unexpected.

As far as I can see, this could be because that would have raised the risk to unacceptable level - adding to losing positions is the ultimate.......

What you need to understand is that the "holy grail" referes to something that's priceless yet free!

You have delivered neither. So go ahead and have fun with your trading system that almost no one else could possibly trade successfully. But don't expect intelligent people that have been trading longer than you to fall for BS in place of a holy grail.

Absolutely: as for hard work nothing could beat that 100% strategy bloke.
