Hmm.. i'm seeing very few technical indicators, be it through volume or whatever else, that showed signs leading up to the 1200+ pip movement we saw yester.

Anyone want to weigh in on this?

It's not wise to trade fx today: 200 pip movements in GY over 20 minutes, 100 in UJ, and that's well after the NFP. And if you normally risk 2%, even 0.5% is too much today. S&P is crapping out by 1.5%, so chaos will reign. And if you get stuck in a trade over the weekend, a 200 pip gap to when your 5/6pm EST broker opens is likely. I'm out.

I prefer trading on days like this. I wish everyday was like this.

OK, so I've not completely stepped away. Only because I think we're going to see yesterday's low, today.

i got in right after NFP at 136, would be nice to see 130, UJ looks like it could test lows as well.

See my post from yesterday that puzzled me. It was just after the first big drop.

http://www.forexfactory.com/showpost...stcount=223541

In hindsight I now know what was happening. There was a huge volume increase, but price didn't move that much. It was blowing up a balloon waiting to burst.

The second drop I think someone mentioned Tokyo might have triggered options. Then the panic and stupid fat finger excuses.

Step away. I think you had excellent advice.

The volatility is so high it will only create massive confusion until nobody knows what to do.

I'm still behind my targets, constellation of MVAs seem to agree. Problem would be if this were a live account. As Beljevina said, even if you risk 3, hell even 5% these buffer margins you must have on these kind of PA is insane, stops of few hundred pips and such, jeez. I'd shit bricks and watch like a hawk.

since we're about on lower 1/3 of a daily channel, geppy will be hard to trade on a longer term until we hit bottom or upper line and get a clear direction. Anyone thinks there might be a daily mirror from about 10.2009. with a pivot being yesterday in order to build a massive cup for longer term upside for next year?

Look what I wrote on the 26th April about Oct 2009....I predicated 135 - God damn I was miles out - It should have been 129!!!!

http://www.forexfactory.com/showpost...stcount=222479

I'm useless at short term predications, but better at medium and longer terms.
